Only one more sleep until your favourite soul show is back in the building!!! This Tuesday, 8-10pm, 90.7FM… you know what to do 👀📻 by @_hannahcooper
Episode 14 has our whole heart!!💛 Soul Food welcomed to the show for the first time, the Saibai princess herself, proud Samu and Suy soul artist and NSW Music Prize nominee @zipporraahh ! Hannah sat down with Zipporah earlier this week to hear all about her year of music, the journey of creating her debut project 'Naungu Urui' and the community that have empowered her to share this project with us! We delved into the intentionality that went into her use traditional language, instrumentation and soundscapes - touching on the inherent connection between music and the place it comes from; honouring family, navigating grief and love, and finding an intersection between rhythm and blues(R&B) and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rhythms. Plus lots of laughs were had! Songwriting unpacked! Moments of inspiration and realisations! An absolute privilege to have this soul queen on the show🧡🧡🧡 Listen back to our conversation through the link in bio, on omny.fm/shows/soulfood or on the SYN website! We also played the following artists... @winstonsurfshirt @oliviaexcuses @danienli_ @10tendo @jarrydjamesmusic @bumpymusic_ @mlebear @indiaarie @amahlamusic @tomodemusic @jrakz @szn4music Join us back in the studio this Tuesday 3 Nov for Ep15 with lots of new music and upcoming live gigs to celebrate! Wowee we had the pleasure of interviewing not one but TWO soul superstars on last weeks show!!
