When I stepped away from the stage in 2023, I had every intention of coming back the next season. But life… LIFE’D. Food FOOD’ED. Discipline and motivation? Gone. 😂

And if I’m being completely honest, body dysmorphia is real. I had to learn how to love my body off stage. I had to repair my relationship with food and stop viewing myself solely through the lens of competition prep.

I didn’t need another prep. I needed healing first. And once I healed, the discipline came back naturally.

So I decided I would return only when I was ready—mentally and physically. And because I waited, everything else aligned.

And to my coach, @rachel_fit_ifbbpro thank you for meeting me where I was. Thank you for your patience, for believing in me even during the seasons when I didn’t fully believe in myself, and for helping me rediscover what I’m capable of. This comeback has been a team effort, and I’m incredibly grateful to have you in my corner. 💕🫶🏽

To everyone who’s started, stopped, and started again, please give yourself some grace. It happens. We’ve all been knocked down and counted out.

But the ultimate comeback is deciding to pull yourself together, lock back in, and become even greater than you were before.

The pause wasn’t the end of my story. It was the setup for my comeback.

This morning, I sat at my bar eating breakfast and just started looking around my apartment. Taking in the flowers, the plants, the little details, the sunlight coming through the windows, and the peace that fills this space.
I’ve been in love with my home since the day I moved in, but today I really felt it.

Sometimes we get so caught up in chasing the next goal that we forget to appreciate what we already have.
Today, I’m grateful for this beautiful little sanctuary I’ve created for myself. A space that feels like me, brings me peace, and reminds me that there is so much beauty in simply being still. 🦋🌿✨ by @_hermarkisgold

Whew… what a prep! 😮‍💨 If y’all only knew how hard I was fighting those last two weeks just to make it to that stage. Life almost took me OUT, literally 😭 but WE MADE IT TO THE PROS!

To stand on that stage for my pro debut with some HEAVY hitters was an experience in itself, and if anything, it gave me even more motivation to get better.

I’m proud of the woman who still showed up. I was scared, I was tired, and there were plenty of moments I didn’t think I was going to make it there… but I DID IT. And for that, I’m proud. 🥹

Now we heal, we rest, and most importantly… WE GROW! 🌱✨

I may not have blood family standing beside me, but yesterday reminded me that family has never been limited to blood. 🥹💜

I looked around and saw a room full of people who chose to show up for me. People who traveled, rearranged their lives, cheered until they were hoarse, hugged me, encouraged me, celebrated me, and made sure I felt just how loved I am.

Yesterday, I was surrounded by NOTHING but love.

I walked onto that stage by myself, but I was never alone. I had an entire village behind me—and when I looked out and saw all of your faces, I realized just how blessed I truly am.

Sometimes God doesn’t give you family through blood. Sometimes He sends you people along the way who become family through love, loyalty, presence, and choice.

And baby… He gave me a FAMILY. 🥹

Thank you to every single person who showed up for me yesterday. You made one of the biggest moments of my life even more special simply because I got to share it with you.

My people. My village. My chosen family. 💜

Recovery has looked a little different than I expected this peak week, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who’ve shown up for me. 💜

Huge thank you to my girl Jamaica for taking her time with a deep tissue massage and static stretching. She was thorough, intentional, and made sure every part of my body got the attention it needed.

If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about her clients and doesn’t rush the process, I can’t recommend her enough. ✨
