How it's Going VS How it Happened 🩺💙 #GodDid #SwipeLeft

Happy National Black Men Physicians Day, recognized by the National Medical Association ✊🏾and what better way to celebrate one week in medical school than to go down memory lane of becoming sDr. Michael David Rankins!

Since birth I have had vision, intelligence, leadership and success. Through prayer, family, and my amazing support system, I have made transcending strides to create a successful and flourishing life! For that, I am humble and honored.

Hey #MedRank fam. Transparency is literally how I make it through the hard times during this long winded process!

I told yall cardio was rough and while I thought I could be a heart breaker, I'm clearly still a lover boy who needs just maybe a few more practice questions 🤣😭

Medical School can be a lot and holding it in benefits no one. One key thing I like to keep in mind is the idea that no matter what, I am exactly where I'm supposed to be and if it were easy, everyone would do it!

To my fellow classmates and colleagues, continue to push forward and never give up on your dream. It's a small thing to a GIANT!💙

"Somewhere between I want it & I got it"

YEAR ONE COMPLETE!💙🩺

What a journey it has been. Who would have ever thought that I would be living in another country, gaining a medical doctorate degree, and experiencing all that God has to give to his people on earth?

I am forever grateful to be able to live out my wildest dreams, practicing to get my ultimate dream job! BUT GOD!🙏🏾

This year was THE hardest year of my life, but it has also been the most rewarding year ever. Funny how God works right? In one instance there is a cast of darkness over you and in the next he shows you that he IS LIGHT!

I dedicate this first year of medical school to those who have departed from this earth but will forever be with me throughout this journey & life there after🪽:

David Rankins 💙
Tammy Williams 💜
Jayson Baldrige 💛
Terry Lewis 🤎

My fantastic Four. My Guardian Angels. I love you all forever.
Without them and everyone else here with me, I would be nothing. Thank you guys for the support. Your boy is heading home 🥳💐

Hey #MedRank Fam💙

Anatomy Module is in full throttle and I thought to bring you guys along for a little recap of lab.

The overall lab is about 3.5 hours so this is just a small sample but today was really fun as we interacted without super human "Sectra" machine, did some clinical correlations and even got a chance to get versed in ultra sound techniques while going over the "Cubital Fossa, Fore arm and Hand" sections of our body!

These are the experiences that make studying for 15-18 hours all worth it. Can't wait to see what we do next. As always, thanks for supporting me on this journey to BECOMING, MD.R 🙏🏾🩺👨🏾‍⚕️
