☀️Gratitude & growth on deck!

This summer so far, has been FULL of beautiful people, unique experiences, and some unexpected circumstances along the way.

Saying hello AUGUST 2025 is wild!! Lol

But what was on my mind earlier this morning, was how, with every exchange of life that's shared in the studio, I was reminded that what may not feel like beauty in a season, isn't always an absence of joy... some must get our attention in uncomfortable ways.. Some visions just need a new approach, and that might not always be pretty.

But a commitment to change will be worth it despite what could feel like a temporary mess, and I've never seen a neat & tidy construction site🚧.

SO.. through it all, and as growth takes me higher, I remain thankful for wisdom and grace to pause, reevaluate what's necessary, and shift within what I often call a "colorful" season!

And sometimes the dust settles after foundations get rumbled, and we can see even clearer, that it was a perfect recipe for a divinely orchestrated life reset... and changes that have been waiting at the door, are now welcomed in. And if it's happening with me, I'm sure it's happening with many of you as well 💐

Spring has sprung! ... it's been SO layered.
I’m still blooming. And many of us are...

I also know first hand, that a lot of what gets poured out might never be fully known or reciprocated, but the character shaping, and the wisdom gained, is the gold within.

And in this work, I still show up with care in every comb, curl, and conversation.
Not every post is just a portfolio...

I’m Tanise. Been hosting events for years, but never a public dinner party, until this past Sat. My cohost and fellow curators @fashiontalktuesday and I pulled this off in just three weeks with an almost sold out crowd.

Designing in Canva again reminded me how much I love it. While creating the signage and table prints for the dinner party, I felt light, intentional, and like the creativity was flowing through me.

I also created a table discussion card with questions that were so beautiful and engaging, many guests took them home. Yall know I used to have a stationery company @fromloveandco?! Let me know if you want a copy of the design.

These photos from my shoot remind me I’m stepping into this season boldly. If your wardrobe lacks color, consider this your nudge.

And yes, I’ve been eating my grief more than expressing it 😅 but I’ve never felt more beautiful. Shoutout to @believeinurpower for styling me and insisting the neon orange wasn’t too bright. How dare I dim my light yall?!

I’m still on a high from all the good that’s flowing into my life..during a time when the world feels so heavy. I’m covered by my ancestors prayers and the Holy Spirit every. single. day.

That last photo? Us three curators. Somehow, we all wore cheetah print without planning it. Alignment is real.

Yesterday, I ended my work week with the thought of how fascinating it is that the idea of change often causes fear to surface.

Knowing yourself-- who you've been, who you are, and who you're becoming is SO necessary.

Deepening this knowledge will do nothing less than require changes!

So....
🎁May you be inspired to beautify your life with the changes that your true self requires.

🎁May you be filled with courage to disembody the versions of you that benefited everyone else accept your true self.

🎁May there be bold confidence within you, to face any loss, as you gain the beauty of your true self in a fresh way.

Y'all... 💕The holidays came & went, then we flew into this year and 😮‍💨🥴😅... we are feeling the weight of so many things!!!

I also introduced REFINE, which we'll circle back to in the midst of all this. The response has been so heartfelt that I decided restrategize to make room for a few extra components!

Now, the convos in my chair lately??? They’ve been a mix of so many things, and just know I have been HEARING you🙏🏾

The dreams are manifesting, goals are being accomplished, and yes, fatigue & frustration been present. The way things are moving—politically, personally, economically has meant a lot of uncertainty for many.
But hope and strategy are still here!

🤎And in celebrating our melanated awesomeness as a whole, as leaders, as business owners, serving communities, locally and abroad, we’ve HAD to be beyond resilient, & will continue.

So let me say this:
💡You are not wrong for the feelings of discouragement
✨ Take time to process where you are, but REFUSE to shrink (DM me for resources to help do this if need be)
