This post is long overdue, but I finally had a moment to share it.

I want to give @sirgursel and @jade_solomon_ their roses for the incredible Juneteenth production they brought to life with The Yard, an HBCU themed community event right in the heart of Seattle. 🌹

Executive Allure was honored to partner with @getonpace, and as someone who has lived in Seattle my whole life, I have never seen a Black owned event of this scale and energy in downtown!! That speaks volumes.

Doing something at this level is no small undertaking. Beyond fences being installed, permits pulled with the city, the health department walk through, and the fire department inspection, there was an incredible amount of logistical coordination—managing food trucks, registered volunteers, entertainers, and working closely with building management to make sure every detail flowed seamlessly. They made it look effortless. All props go to Jade, Arif and @vibeheavy !!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

The intentionality was unmatched:

✅ Black owned food trucks
✅ Black owned security team
✅ Beer garden with a Black owned brewery
✅ Multiple DJs spinning all day
✅ Drill team performance
✅ Spoken word
✅ Interpretive dance
✅ Drone coverage
✅ TV news coverage
✅ Branded T shirts and sweatshirts
✅ Registered volunteers
✅ Full blown event production

… and the list goes on

Thank you, Arif and Jade, for bringing the community together and partnering with so many Black owned entrepreneurs and businesses to make this happen. I had a great time connecting with @thetrafficlink, @heyblackseattle, @sync.seattle & _ia_studio.

If you’re not familiar with @theunionsea on 2nd Ave, you definitely need to check them out! It’s Seattle’s first Black owned coworking and media production space, owned by, you know it… Arif and Jade. ♥️

Their work continues to raise the bar for our community. This is just the beginning.

Its been 2 weeks and I am still floating. @edisonsquaretacoma you gave me a night I’ll never forget.

Huge love to @btwotimes and @19mturner11 for setting the vibes — it was a party! Yall brought the energy and kept it flowing all night long. To my amazing band, @donyeamusic @q_beats and @bassesand.laces, @hislightinm3 @devthedudee Thank you for pouring your gifts into this moment.

And my glam team!!! @feliciacarlene @danny_janae @erica_michelle_beauty @atelieranik Y’all snapped. Hair, makeup, styling — every look, every quick change, every detail was magic. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I’m Tanise. Been hosting events for years, but never a public dinner party, until this past Sat. My cohost and fellow curators @fashiontalktuesday and I pulled this off in just three weeks with an almost sold out crowd.

Designing in Canva again reminded me how much I love it. While creating the signage and table prints for the dinner party, I felt light, intentional, and like the creativity was flowing through me.

I also created a table discussion card with questions that were so beautiful and engaging, many guests took them home. Yall know I used to have a stationery company @fromloveandco?! Let me know if you want a copy of the design.

These photos from my shoot remind me I’m stepping into this season boldly. If your wardrobe lacks color, consider this your nudge.

And yes, I’ve been eating my grief more than expressing it 😅 but I’ve never felt more beautiful. Shoutout to @believeinurpower for styling me and insisting the neon orange wasn’t too bright. How dare I dim my light yall?!

I’m still on a high from all the good that’s flowing into my life..during a time when the world feels so heavy. I’m covered by my ancestors prayers and the Holy Spirit every. single. day.

That last photo? Us three curators. Somehow, we all wore cheetah print without planning it. Alignment is real.
