I am so pleasantly surprised how much love I got on my last post! Thank you everyone who viewed, liked, shared and bookmarked it, you are the reason for this โ€œalgorithmicโ€ phenomenon! โค๏ธ It makes me feel very happy, as this project is something I did not really thought through initially, but ended up using a lot of photos that I took years ago as well as a lot of random text that I wrote years ago too. It seems like those things are finally finding a home, a series, a collection, a book of some sort perhaps. It will take a while, but I know it will materialize into something coherent finally. Although maybe not super coherent in the narrative sense to some ๐Ÿ˜‰ but it all makes sense to me and I believe in the process and where it is going. by @_irinachernikova_

We are so happy to announce the release of our 1th issue of LUCIDA Photo Magazine! In our first issue, weโ€™re excited to showcase seven artists who break away from the norm. They take unique journeys, reflecting on imperfection and the continuous journey of self-acceptance. With their varied perspectives, their artwork invites us to consider what itโ€™s like to view ourselves from a different angle, almost as if looking through shattered glass. Faultlines. This is a sketchbook for a project Faultlines about Mussel Rock, a park located where the San Andreas fault line enters the Pacific Ocean, in San Francisco, which used to be an ancient Ohlone village before the Spanish, then Americans came. I printed a ton of prints using gum arabic and other techniques. This is a sketchbook where I practiced before the final versions. I am organizing some things, so I thought Iโ€™d revisit this. by @_irinachernikova_

Resuming my work on "Kinsugi" again. Kintsugi is a series of interconnected zines meant to be read in any order. Like the art of mending pottery, its fractured narrative forms a whole through fragmentsโ€”logs, memos, and field notes from the Habitat and its inhabitants. Overseen by The Vault, the inhabitants tend to the terrain and the Shells, blurring the line between human and machine, present and future, memory and repair. Work in Progress. by @_irinachernikova_
