Made this image a while ago and it feels quite relevant today. Over Valentine’s Day Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE purged thousands of natural resources conservation employees in the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Parks Service. This is just the beginning. Corporate interest will soon be at the doorstep of our public lands; There to exploit public natural resources for private corporate profit.

Reflecting on the over 500 mile spiritual journey from Fort Defiance, AZ to Gila River from September 20th - September 30th.

I had the honor and privilege to be invited to participate in the 7 Generations Spiritual Run. I had some reservations because I was going through some personal battles, and deep hurt. I didn’t want to bring any negativity or bad energy to the run, knowing the significance of it. I talked to Wayne and he reassured me, he said we were gunna sweat, run and pray on it. And that he had my back… so I said I’m in.

The run was for the 7 generations that will come before us and the 7 generations who have lived after us. We have a duty and responsibility to the children and to the life that has existed before us and that will live after us to live in a good way. To live in a way that doesn’t take or disrespect the future or the past in anyway. To live outside of ourselves.

We also have the responsibility to take the time and effort to teach the upcoming generations our mistakes, failures, our successes and to prepare them for the future in a better way than we ourselves were prepared.

Personally, I ran and participated not only for the children but for our other living relatives. The ones who fly, gallup, walk, swim, slither and that we are so fortunate to share our timeline of existence with. I ran for the land and the Earth. I ran for the water. For the sun. For the stars. Because without them, and clean, intact ecosystems - the gift of life on this planet cannot exist.

As indigenous communities, their culture, their way of life and their knowledge have been systematically attacked and attempted to be wiped from the face of the Earth, the life on this planet has dwindled at historically fast rates. We do not have many years left to be able to stop what is happening and save the gifts we are so lucky to share this timeline with and to ensure a future for not only us, the children and future generation of humans but for the vast majority of life we share this planet with.

We must fight back. We have to win.

To being a light in the darkness.

To all my relations.

A’ho! 🪶

Reflecting on a year of putting my education into action and trying to be the best relative I know how to be.

I know who I am. I know my roots, my ancestry and I know what and who are responsible for driving the 6th Mass Extinction of Life on Earth… and it’s the same people and forces (capitalism and colonialism) that have caused and continue to cause so much harm to indigenous communities in the “Americas” all the way through to Palestine today and back again.

I’m not perfect and I’ve made many mistakes. But I’m doing my best. And it’s still not enough.

I know in my spirit that the only way out of this darkness is to walk the path of the 7th Generation Prophecy and the Condor and the Eagle Prophecy.

I will stand and fight for the land, communities and living things I love until my last breath.

I’m proud of where I started and how far I’ve come in my 32 years… we need ALL of us collectively in this fight.

Divided we fall. Together we are power. ✊🏼

One circle. One prayer. One drum.

To all my relations. A’ho. 🪶

Yesterday - May 5th, the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), at the Arizona State Capitol in remembrance of stolen indigenous relatives - raising awareness and calling on our elected officials to make the necessary changes to stop the colonial violence that has never ceased to be inflicted on indigenous communities!

More than 4 in 5 Indigenous Women (84.3%) have experienced violence in their lifetime.

Indigenous Women and Girls experience a murder rate 10 times higher than the national average.

For Indigenous Men, four out of five (81.6 percent) have
experienced violence in their lifetime.

Homicide was the fourth leading cause of death among 1-44 year old Indigenous Men.

Arizona ranks second in the nation with the number of missing person cases for Indigenous People.

The tribes need FULL legal authority over their lands, and the ability to prosecute any individual who commits crimes on their lands.

Currently, tribal courts do not have criminal jurisdiction to prosecute non-Native people for crimes committed on reservation land.

Also the desecration of indigenous lands and sacred sites must cease as how the land is treated is directly linked to how the people and women are treated.

Justice for Natives! 🗣️
