This was my first time mountaineering and I knew I had to pick the mountain I can see from home.

We all signed up for different reasons, but fundamentally, we were there for the same purpose. 🏔 We all looked up at the same mountain, just from different angles, at different times, never standing in the same place. Tied together by the same rope, we were guided upward, one step at a time.
There was a look free from judgment in each other's eyes, allowing us to meet each other exactly where we're at. We summited together and I learned something new from everyone involved. 🤍 I truly couldn’t have done it without them. From the birds eye view above the clouds we could see more clearly. We walked back down through softer snow and our steps were more forgiving. We peered inside crevasses, glancing at their layers, and thought about how each year they shift and deepen. If we returned to the mountain again, we'd notice something new with our widened perspective and collected wisdom.

This past year+ my only focus was to place myself in environments I grow in where I naturally find others who are the perfect match to help. @upwardtransitionsinstitute was that and more. @victoria_garvin and @izzzymasi thank you so much for all the guidance and teaching us mountaineering can be silly and serious.

The crux was actually the doubts living in the pre-trip fear. I think I slept 2hrs in the 48hrs leading up to this... the unknown is scary, okay! 😅

As always, many more adventures to come! I loved this one so much. The guidance in my life never goes unnoticed, so thank you all. It means more to me than you know. taken in Mt. Baker by @_jessgriff

I don't think I knew what I was looking for until I found it. Actually, until I felt it.

This life is a beautiful strange mystery and I love playing. It feels like I'm running around as detective Jess with a magnifying glass to find my truth.

Wow, what in the world is Alaska?!

The second I arrived I knew I'd be back.

We decided to drop all our plans to follow the sun. ☀️ Naturally charged by excitement, the environment, and the thrill of having no idea what the day would bring. Another green-screen-looking landscape and a god wink. My mind was blown, and my eyes stayed wide open.

I'm so grateful to have experienced this trip with Jess and Matt. Shortly after we met here in Bham, I told them I hope to still know them when I'm 80. I've never met a couple quite like them, and it's truly a gift to know them. We've already talked about coming back when we're old to laugh about the accidental bear spray going off, the forgotten base layers, the excitement-induced sleeplessness that turned to sickness, and capsizing a kayak in glacial water... Hold the vision 🌿

There's something so magical about landing in your dream place. I took a look around and realized its exactly what I wanted. Like it was made just for me. I often have this thought like, who did this?! I must thank them personally.

Maybe a year in my body said, now we build. This has been the most solid foundation I've stood on. In my 20s it felt like I was searching... Here I'm deeply rooted in an environment I thrive in naturally. It feels easier, energy-giving, and at times euphoric.

When doubt or fear creep in it feels more neutral. I have this unshakable belief I can do it. Like my soul is whispering to me, you can have it all. Keep going, hold the vision.

Hosted my first Root Inward experience this weekend. An intentional hike and guided meditation on the topic of Inspiration to Form.

Supportive friends showed up for this first go, and that alone was enough 🥹 but seeing this specific dream take actual shape gave me goosebumps!! Surprisingly, none of these friends really knew one another, so it was the perfect group to have.

It started out with a series of 4 questions to understand what they're trying to experience more of in their life. A goal, a dream, a feeling! Questions on resistance, one small action they can take, and when they have 'said thing', how does it feel in their body? Each pair got to rotate partners to have the opportunity to practice listening skills, meet someone new, and express what was on their mind 3 times. With each time narrowing in on their intention. This deepens insight and widens awareness priming the mind to spot new opportunities to come. 🕸

At the overlook we picked berries (of course) then sat in a guided meditation to drop back into the body and nature.

This dream is rooted in wholeheartedness, curiosity, and community. Nurturing connections to self, others, and the natural world around us. Stay tuned for more events as this evolves sharing what I love in a place I love immensely!! 🌿❤️‍🔥🧠🙏

Wow, two years here and the love is only deepening. It continues to turn my world anew. I play and it plays back. I move and it moves me. Awe answering awe, wonder meeting wonder with eyes wide open. There’s something so special about the people who walk into your life for a certain amount of time and leave a lasting impact.

Maybe it’s just a few sentences that stay with you from a brief encounter to witnessing a lifetime of growth. 🫶

I’ve had the privilege of having many different friend groups and each one has felt so perfect for that chapter.

What a gift it is to find what you're looking for and to be met right where you are. 🙏

Every time I'm in Squamish my heart feels like it's going to... I don't know.. explode. I look down at my chest and think, are you good in there?!

There are mountains that shoot out of the water with many shades of blue and snowy peaks. There are eagles soaring high in the sky and cute little otters swimming. There's a welcoming community of silly humans and most of them juggle... a technical knowledge of rigging and a playfulness. They scout for different lines.

My progress with highlining seems slower, but it's one step at a time. Over many years the stoke has never gone away. I know it's a direct line showing me the middle way, bridging lessons in the space, anchoring them down, and offering opportunities to find flow through tension.

It's so me. All of it. It's a combination of all of my favorite things, so i'll keep returning.

I love this place, this sport, the teachings, and most of all, the community.
