We’re excited to share the Sydney Project with you! 🇦🇺

Adrian and Jess have lived in Sydney their entire lives, and since their late teenage years have been marked by a deep burden to see revival and awakening in the city they call home.

Together with their 3 kids as well as an incredible team, they are seeking to build a spiritual community right in the heart of downtown Sydney - where people are twice as likely to have no religious affiliation compared to the outer suburbs of Sydney.

The church they envision is one full of the Word and the Spirit - where people can experience the presence of God, build deep life-giving relationships in the midst of a fast-paced city, and serve the city together for Jesus’ renown.

Our baby girl is not so little anymore as we celebrated her 5th birthday today! 🎉

The years are flying by all too quickly, and being our youngest each milestone hits home just that little bit more 🥹

Amelie brings all the colour and joy into our family and we thank God continually for the delight she is to us and all those around her 🌸 She’s the best daughter we could have ever asked for 🥹 We are so proud of Amelie and who she is becoming! #AmelieTam by @_jesstam

We cannot express just how grateful we are to be part of the @orchardgroup - we had the honour and privilege of having some of the team from the USA with us over the weekend. We absolutely love and believe in everything they are on about - church planting, reaching cities, advancing the kingdom.

What has unfolded at @citizens.sydney over these first 6 months would not have been possible without their support, guidance and care - and it’s only the beginning! We specifically thank @suncrestchurch @chapelbuffalo @redemptionsf for investing in our church plant and what God is doing here in Sydney 🙏 taken in Sydney, Australia by @_jesstam

What a memorable day having the legendary @markkelsey & @berniekelsey yesterday with us at @citizens.sydney!

Nearly 15 years ago, when @_jesstam and I were engaged we visited @c3.syd for the first time and I heard Ps Mark preach - a life-changing message on the theology of the Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelation. At the time I was early in my journey of synthesising the Word and the Spirit and that message completely revolutionised my thinking and faith trajectory.

Fast forward all these years and now having these guys preaching and ministering in our church was truly a “pinch me” moment for us.

We feel immensely privileged having these guys speaking in our lives and our church, and especially thrilled to see their launch of @formed.world - the Church will be stronger and healthier because of it! Great days ahead! taken in Sydney, Australia by @_jesstam

We’ve had a blast these past 2 days celebrating Jacob’s birthday!

Heart full after a few days with just the best of the best.

Had an absolute blast at @c3australia conference with our incredible @citizens.sydney team. Special thanks to our beautiful @c3toronto family who have sowed so generously into our team over the past week. We are so grateful for each and every one of you, it’s been an honour to glean from your wisdom @mandagurnett @gloryomotayo @josh_the_ray @mareeray_ We honour you Ps. @sampicken & @jesspicken for the incredible team you have built to equip the saints. You are family to us!

Taking a moment to celebrate the mother of our 3 children, and the spiritual mother of our @citizens.sydney community!

She preached an absolute blinder this morning. God has blessed her with a preaching gift that makes everyone in the room feel as if they’ve been personally counselled and ministered to 1:1! Our church family is extraordinarily blessed to have her leading, protecting and nurturing us.

@_jesstam - I am constantly in awe of how you carry the myriad of responsibilities that God has entrusted to you - as a mother, wife, pastor, speech pathologist and friend - and yet you manage to do it all with joy, grace and an ability to make others feel loved, seen and treasured.

Thank you for all that you do and sacrifice for those around you - you pour yourself out tirelessly that others may experience life in abundance. I thank God every day for you!

T E N - Happiest 10th Birthday Judah!

As of today, we are parents to a 10 year old 🤯 Where has the last decade gone?!

Bill Gates said, “most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years”.

It felt like yesterday when we as young parents first held our firstborn Judah in our arms, our hearts full of love, but with no real idea of what we are doing, as we sought to raise our son the best way we knew how - with God’s wisdom and a whole lot of support from those around us.

Fast forward 10 years and now before us stands a young man, full of promise and ambition, finding his way through the world as he becomes the person God always intended him to be. We admire his determination, his boundless energy, his thoughtful and inquisitive nature, and above all his genuine love for God. We are beyond proud of who he is and everything he has accomplished and overcome.

We cannot wait to see what the next 10 years has in store for our son. We love you Judah! Happy birthday from Dad & Mum! by @_jesstam

Good Friday was indeed good!! 🥹😭

An Easter we will never forget where we got to baptise our two boys who decided to publicly declare their devotion to Jesus. It was extra special for them to be able to do this alongside their best friends, and for our first ever baptisms at @citizens.sydney!
