I can’t believe that we found ourselves with a free day without any practices, games, play dates, bday parties, etc!!!! What are the odds?!?!
Bike riding has seemingly become “our thing!” So any South Florida biking recommendations, feel free to share!!
This adventure was to Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, which in my opinion is the most convenient / best option around when you have kids! It’s not very crowded, lots of wildlife to see, long enough ride where you’re getting some good exercise but not too long where the kids are asking “how much longer?!?” There are also many places to take a break, visit the beach, grab a snack, throw a football/frisbee, etc.! If you haven’t been, I highly recommend it!

Today is your birthday my sweet little angel! 9 years….9 YEARS!!?? How can it be?!?? The years are really just flying by way too fast!!! 11 years old for this one today!
Seeing his personality evolve, his love for his sister, his warm nature, his ability to make everyone around him smile, his playful side, his serious side, his growing intellect, his desire to read , learn and grow….and his everlasting light which glows brighter than the sun…it’s gotta mean that his mother and I MUST be doing something right! There was the father….and then there was the grandfather.

My childhood was one of so much peace, laughter, happiness, stability, endless love , and of course….fishin!! And at the center of it all, there was my dad.

While he may not have been quite the socialite that my mom was, his presence at home provided a stability and calmness that made home always feel like home. His love for my mother was endless, something that was so obvious throughout my childhood and beyond. It was the kind of love everyone hopes and dreams of but rarely get to experience.….and now he gets to be with here once again…and this time, it’s for all eternity.

To grandpa….I know both you and the kids would have loved more time together, but they will always remember and love you, and cherish all of the moments spent with you. Thanks for playing catch, for reading to them in bed, for taking them fishing, for the great big grandpa hugs, and for ALL of those little grandpa moments that meant so much!

Dad….what can I say? I want to say thank you…but nothing I write seems even scratch the surface just how thankful I am. This just doesn’t seem fair, but I promise that I will not have my thoughts dwell on this for too long, and only remember all of the good, constantly making sure that your memory lives on with Ford and Essie.

This bundle of pure and absolute sunshine turns 8 today! I’m constantly amazed on a daily basis by this little girl, whose personality is bigger than life! Smart, sweet, empathetic, selfless, understanding, passionate, compassionate, and funny AF (no Ash, she doesn’t get that from you)! She is your best friend, your biggest cheerleader, and just someone you ALWAYS want to be around. She makes being a daddy’s girl one of the BEST feelings in life! I love you so much lovebug! Double digits!!!! How is it possible that he is 10 years old today! Hopefully some day when he’s addicted to social media like the rest of the world, he’ll scroll back in my feed and see all of the nice things that I said about him. In all honesty, there is no bond like a father and son. Every day we laugh, we learn, we love, we share moments, we create memories…it is an epic journey, one which fulfills my life more than words could ever describe. This kid’s personality is truly extraordinary, he’s just one of a kind. He’s one of those people who, when standing next to him, you can’t help but smile, have fun, and be happy, which is so unique and special in this world. Here’s to you Ford (he wants to be called Ford and not Fordy now 🥲), happy happy birthday son…I love you! by @_jprosenbaum

Life moves fast these days, REALLY fast. There are highs, there are lows, happy times & sad, with things changing literally on a daily basis, and it feels like a rollercoaster sometimes, without any consistency and lots of uncertainty. That is of course except for you @royrosenbaum, brother. You are always there, you are always the same, you are always consistent, you are always comforting, reliable, honest, and dependable. You are always my brother, my friend. Happiest of birthdays to you brother, love you always. by @_jprosenbaum

I don’t even know what to say because there are absolutely NO words which can even scratch the surface to describe who this woman was and what she meant to so many people, not just to her family, but to ALL those whose lives she touched.

When I think back on my childhood, think back to every single happy moment from every childhood memory, my mom was always at the center of it ALL, and to say that I was lucky, well that just doesn’t do it justice. She was the perfect mother whose life centered around making others happy, her kids, her husband, her family, her friends, and everyone else whose path she crossed. And that’s something that she NEVER ever stopped doing! She was one of a kind.

Time is a gift, an absolute gift, and it’s the one thing we never seem to have enough of, but I’m eternally grateful that I had nearly 47 years with her and I cherish every single minute we shared together, every single minute of seeing her with her with her grandkids, which made her happier than anything.

Mom, your memory will live on through your kids and your grandkids, for that I am certain. There is so much more that I could say, so much more in my heart and on my mind, but perhaps I’ll just continue to share those thoughts with you through my prayers and with Fordy & Essie as the grow up. Thank you for the life you provided, the sacrifices you made, the guidance, the support, and most of all the abundance of love that you never ever stopped giving. Rest well mom.

This little princess turns 7 today!!! When you wish for a daughter, THIS is what you wish for! Her kindness, her sensitivity, her light, her love, her happiness, her intelligence, her strength, her compassion for others…I could go on and on. Every morning hug, every goodnight kiss, every “daddy,” every snuggle, every time she grabs my hand unsolicited…I never want them to end!!! Happy Birthday baby girl!!!
