Happy 7th birthday, Reece. To be totally honest, I didn’t know that loving someone this much was possible before you came around. Part of me wishes I could keep you small, but I’ve loved every step we’ve taken together so far. Im excited to see all the ways you change and become your full self. You’re so damn smart, and that brain of yours is turning into something we’re excited to explore. I’m already looking forward to the late-night deep talks when you take Philosophy 101 in college. None of this happens without your mom. Tara keeps all of us on track, and this house would crumble without her. You got the best one. The way you see me makes me keep working to be that guy. To be the example you need. Happy birthday, kiddo. by @_justmartin____
A while back, I went to @greg2pointr0w & @jenna.schiliro ‘s wedding in NY, where they had live sax player playing alongside the DJ, and I was instantly hooked on incorporating live musicians into our offerings at @activedj I scoured Facebook groups, Craigslist, cold-messaged people giving music lessons, and asked every musician I knew. Dead end after dead end. Turns out great musicians tend to be pretty busy, and I just kept striking out. Then, another player finally pointed me towards @tb_onthesax , sax player for Signal Fire. The tour schedule seemed to make sense with what we needed and he was up for a new challenge, so we decided to give it a shot. The first time we were going to play together, I called him a few times, asking him what he needed, and he just kept telling me he was good. So, naturally, I was stressed. We’d donated his services to a few weddings and I was genuinely concerned that we were going to look unprepared, and have a lot of tough moments that would hurt the party. He didn’t seem to have that concern for one single second. He just effortlessly slid in, able to play along with ANYTHING. Never heard this song before? No problem. He’ll have it down in abt 20 seconds. Not only is it just a genuine pleasure to know this guy personally, but he is ridiculously reliable and just oozes talent. He didn’t just bring his own magic to the table; he opened up the entire horn community to us. Fast forward to today, and our team has grown to include our second sax player, the equally incredible @seanmeademusic Sometimes you just have to take a second to give people their flowers. Tristan, you’re the absolute man. Grateful for the talent, the hustle, and the friendship. 📸: @jolynnphotography by @_justmartin____
She might have only found 6 Easter eggs, but her kite-flying game is 10/10. by @_justmartin____
Didn’t do a damn thing in my life to deserve this, but I’m thankful. by @_justmartin____

Still fun to pretend you’re younger than you are. The launch of @waveformdjs was a good way to celebrate the 25th year of my midlife crisis. 😎 Thanks @cj_grae for the top notch photos by @_justmartin____
Did we do ok trying to look like we belonged at the country club? Thanks @mattmcgrawphotography for a great pic of us! by @_justmartin____
It's not often Reece gets to see me DJ—most of my gigs either require an invite or an ID she (thankfully) doesn’t have yet. So every year, I really look forward to PC3's Daddy-Daughter Dance. It’s probably not quite the same experience as the other girls get—less twirling to Disney, more dad showing off questionable turntable tricks—but hopefully, she loves it as much as I do. by @_justmartin____
Doing my best to keep another dance floor packed—luckily, the music does most of the work. Shoutout to the one and only @mattrayphotography for making me look bigger than I am. by @_justmartin____
