Imagine missing out on life because you’re scared to do things alone. Not me, amiga. 😂💃🏽✨

And listen, I’m the girl who usually HATES doing things alone. But I was already in Tampa for title training, and I had the opportunity to go see KAROL G… so I said FUCK IT, LET’S GOOOOO! 😭🐬🩷

My friend said, “Girl, we work too hard. We deserve this!” And I said, “You know what?! I DO work on these fucking files all day. LET’S GO!” 😂😂😂

And that’s exactly what I did. I went by myself, and I had the time of my life!

So this is for my girls who are like me. The ones who overthink, who want to do things but feel weird going alone, who wait for someone else to be available before making plans.

STOP WAITING. GO ANYWAY.

You work hard. You show up for everybody. You handle your responsibilities. You deserve to make memories, too!

And no, you don’t have to suddenly become the girl who loves doing everything alone. Sometimes you just have to be brave enough to do it scared.

Because one day, you’re going to look back and realize how many experiences you almost missed because you were waiting for somebody to go with you.

This trip has been a breathtaking experience. 🤍

This past week, I’ve learned so much. I was able to disconnect from the world for a few days and truly be present.

My phone was mostly used for taking pictures and videos. I worked for a few hours when I needed to, handled the things that required my immediate attention, and then let myself unplug.

I had real conversations. Shared amazing meals. Felt like a kid again. Tried things I never would have imagined myself doing.

Two hikes. Wake surfing. Yoga. Cliff jumping. Deep conversations. Vulnerability. Laughing until my stomach hurt. And making incredible friends from all over.

This trip reminded me that sometimes you have to step away from the noise to really hear yourself.

Life is happening right in front of us, and sometimes we get so caught up in everything we have to do that we forget to actually live it.

So here’s your reminder—and mine—to put the phone down, be present, say yes to the experience, have the conversation, take the leap, and live the moment. ✨

Because these are the moments we’ll remember.

Something we’re learning through this journey is that it’s not just our kids who are growing—we are too.

When we enrolled the girls in jiu-jitsu, we weren’t thinking we had a future competitor on our hands. We simply wanted them to learn confidence, discipline, and self-defense.

Ellie had different plans. She wanted to compete.

As parents, our job wasn’t to choose that dream for her it was to support it.

Now we’re navigating a world we never expected to be in, learning alongside other competition parents, coaches, and teammates. Every tournament teaches us something new.

POV: Paying for private lessons and their are paying off.

POV: You’re not living through your child—you’re living the journey with them.

POV: All those hours spent drilling techniques, correcting mistakes, studying matches, and practicing one more time are paying off.

We’re not chasing medals for her. We’re simply giving her every opportunity to chase the goals she set for herself.

This journey has become about so much more than competing. It’s about building discipline, resilience, confidence, and a work ethic she’ll carry with her long after she leaves the mats.
