Semi-finals. Ellie lost by the referee’s decision.

As her parents, watching the video back, even though she lost, she wasn’t giving up. She kept fighting until the very end. That’s all we can ask for.

Losing is just as important as winning. She knows what she did wrong, she feels it, and I know she’ll improve like she did this time by not giving up no points

She was nervous for this competition because it was her first time competing at her new belt. I refused to let her use that as an excuse. That’s why her belt is inside out because I told her it doesn’t matter what belt you wear, it’s about heart 🤍
