For our first anniversary dinner, we wanted everything to be perfect. From venue to location to the food.

But what made it unforgettable was you.

It was warm.
It was intimate.
It felt like us.

I’ve always loved the creative part of shoots, but what makes me even happier right now is seeing a team take over me, come together to co-create a vision that’s bigger than my own.

Yesterday, we nailed what we needed to achieve, and the energy in the room was just amazing!! ❤️❤️💕💕 Even the kids were on my side. “Mama, did you have a good shoot?” “mama, it is okay. Drop us off early. We will wake up at 6am.” by @_katelow_

Not gatekeeping this.

Conversion rate is one of the most important metrics I watch.

Before 2024, our website consistently converted above 2%. So when it started hovering around 1%, I knew something wasn’t right.

I rewrote headlines, adjusted layouts and improved our product pages. I kept optimising, thinking the next change would finally move the needle. Nothing made a meaningful difference.

Then I paid for a professional website speed optimisation service as part of a spring clean exercise, the exercise improved the speed of our site - and our conversion rate lifted from 1% to 2% overnight.

After months of questioning our copy, products and website experience, speed was the breakthrough. Customers thought we were going wonky making so many changes!

Sometimes your product isn’t the problem. Your offer isn’t the problem. Your customer is simply tired of waiting.

When something makes this much of a difference, I believe other business owners deserve to know about it too.

Save this before you redesign your website, spend more on ads, and share it with an ecommerce founder who may be optimising the wrong thing. by @_katelow_

I love designing and creating. Truly. But this year has tested that love.

After the war began, costs rose, production hit setback after setback, and delays started to stack up. What looked simple on paper became round after round of samples, timeline delays, non-compromise. it’s as if the original chemistry I had with my suppliers all went awry.

Some days, my suppliers and I felt ready to give up on each other. We were all tired of the back-and-forth.

So yes, I love this work. And yes, sometimes it drives me nuts. Both can be true.

But this is what goes into making something thoughtfully. Just caring enough to keep working at the details until it feels right. We were excitedly working on many new collections and in the end only a few were going to make it. But I promise you these are solidly worth it 💕💕💯💯

You have been waiting, Lumi is almost ready. It took such a long time for us to get the fit perfect. Between learning how to make bras for young girls and trying to work with a new type of fabric, we almost gave up.. and then we kept going!!!

And everything is now coming together quite beautifully 💕❤️💕❤️
