i’ve spent the last couple days trying to figure out how to caption this post. there’s so much to say but little space to say it. i didn’t finish this season near where i wanted but i’m still proud of myself for pushing through till the end. it’s hard to believe i’ll never put my shoes and kneepad on again and walk out on that mat to compete. after 3 long years i leave as the first girls state qualifier, the first girls state placer, the first 3x state qualifier, and i hold several record amongst both teams. while i did cut myself a year short by graduating early i am still very proud of my accomplishments i’ve achieved in 3 years. i’m where i’m at today because of my amazing coaches. to my dad, jason king, and my brother, i wouldn’t be where i was if it wasn’t for your constant support and coaching. you three have pushed me harder than anyone has and i wouldn’t have made it where i was without you. to my family, my friends, and the community, thank you for always believing in me and supporting me from afar. to my support group who always came or watched from their phones, thank you for showing up for me. i will always remember the ones who never doubted what i could do. i’ve been blessed with an amazing support system during my journey and i can not thank you all enough. to the little girls who follow after me, never give up and keep pursuing your dreams. i hope you all see what i have done and aim for farther.
