Girls wrestling started back in 2022 at Celina. Now that we are five years into this, I (Coach Miracle) have compiled a list of the top individual seasons of these five years.

Finishing up our breakdown of the best individual girl seasons of the last five years. Today we are looking at

#1
Kenzie Miracle (Sophomore 2022-23)
Kenzie wrestled for both the boy and girl teams on the season and was able to win 36 matches overall despite missing a couple of events. Kenzie medaled in every tournament on the year taking 4th at Clyde, 1st at Tinora, 5th at the Heart of Ohio Tournament in Mechanicsburg, 3rd at the Iron Maiden tournament in Bellefountaine, 1st at Fredericksburg, 2nd at Alexander, 3rd at Eaton and champion at Arcadia despite often running into the same top girls (Dearwester -state champ, Johnson - state runner up, Hilliard - returning state medalist and Miller - 3rd at state) and then placed 3rd in the Regional tournament to secure her second state qualification. At State, Kenzie would win three matches to place 7th in the 105 pound weight class.

#3
Kenzie Miracle (Freshman 2021-22)
The season that started it all and it almost didn’t happen. Kenzie didn’t decide to wrestle until after Christmas so by the time she worked her way into shape she only had time for two tournaments before Regionals where she would win 3 matches to reach the 3rd place match which qualified her for state. She ended up injury defaulting to take 4th which set her up against a Regional champ in round 1 who was a familiar opponent from her first tournament. At State, she won her first match against the girl who finished in 7th place but lost her next two matches which prevented her from placing. Overall, Kenzie won 12 matches in the shortened season at 100 pounds which is what is keeping this season from being higher.
