Your perspective on how to be consistent has been all wrong.

Your behavior is a result not a process.

When you understand how to be aware of your process

What drives your process

And how to change your process

Achieving becomes simple

I think having discipline is massively important

I think having the capacity to “grind” is massively important

I think being able to deal with discomfort and execute anyway is

massively important.

I also think most people over index on all those buzzwords because it

sounds cool and feels masculine

The MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT IN ELITE PERFORMANCE IS DO

YOU HAVE FUN DOING WHAT YOU DO?

Doesn’t mean all the time if you don’t Ever feel like it’s play the

likelihood of burnout is much higher

All greats didn’t over index on discipline because they genuinely were

inlove with the game they chose to play in any arena not just sports.

If genuine desire for the activity itself and not just the outcome isn’t there.

Your FULL potential will stay on the sideline.

Your Brian has a mechanism for making you crave more of the process

you or activity you’re obsessed with. It also has a process for getting

you to stop hold back or self sabotage when there’s no real authentic

desire. The hunt continues 🤙🏾 by @_kidane__

“Where attention goes energy flows”

A cliche saying with a ton of real life psychology, neuroscience, and

behavior economics behind it.

If you pay attention to lay out of any store it’s a masterclass on how to

manipulate attention to encourage a behavior.

You can utilize this principle to manipulate your own behavior in your life.

What’s the man in focus? What are you hinting? How often is it

presented to the front of your mind through your external environment?

For for most people probably not very often.

Keep the target in the front of your focus WILL change how you pursue it.

Give it a go. 👊🏾 by @_kidane__

Nick Saban might be the greatest coach in the history of sports. Not just college football. Sports.

(Side note when beat them my senior year in THEIR house 😎)

And one of the core rules of his entire program was that his players were never allowed to talk about winning a national championship. No championship talk. No scoreboard. Just the next play.

If it worked for him and what? seven titles, the most dominant program anyone has ever seen then maybe there’s something worth looking at here. Lol

most of us are doing the exact opposite. The goal is on the whiteboard. The revenue number is the first thing we check in the morning. We think keeping our eyes on it is what gets us there.

But the second your brain locks onto an outcome it hasn’t hit yet, it reads that gap as a threat. Cortisol spikes. Focus narrows (in a bad way). You stop playing to win and start playing not to lose. You get tight. You make the safe call. You grind harder but the output gets worse.

The number you’re watching every day is threatening you. Well thats what your Brian might think

What Saban figured out and what the research backs up is that the outcome is a byproduct. It’s what happens when the process is right. So that’s what you measure. The work. The calls made. The content out. The conversations started. The number of days in a row you execute.

Take the outcome metric off your dashboard for 30 days. Put a process metric in its place. See what happens.

The goal doesn’t move closer when you stare at it. It moves closer when you stop looking at it and start doing the work that produces it. by @_kidane__

The reason most never reach the level they are capable of has nothing

to do with their work ethic the way the grind culture will have you think.

Its their system will not fully expand for a goal it does not recognize as

real or YOURS

You can chase something your biology is not aligned with.

You can produce results, build the revenue, hit the numbers.

But there is a ceiling.

Your system will not unlock its deepest levels of focus, creativity,

resilience, and output for a target it does not actually want. It

conserves. It protects. It gives you enough to function but not enough

 to dominate.

You can only stay in shape for short spurts of time.

You get stuck at the same revenue numbers

You keep “falling off” when conditions aren’t perfect.

Its always “this time is going to be different” but it never lasts

Authentic desire removes that ceiling

When what you are chasing is genuinely yours

aligned with who you actually are, not what you are supposed to want

That system opens.

The discipline turn into something you cannot turn off.

I call it “lion in captivity” syndrome

As a former professional athlete I felt this for 7 years of my life after

sports and didn’t know what it was.

I had all this fire. All this ability. All this energy. All this power. But

nothing was happening. The most intoxicating feeling we have access

to some call it “alignment” i call it hunting. Being of your natural nature.

And I couldn’t access it after I was done with sports.

I thought something was wrong with me.

Some was. I stopped Hunting. I stopped pursuing my own potential

when the vehicle I had used for hunting so long was now gone.

I see this a lot today. You have all the tools. For some reason you can’t

use them to their full capacity. You’re stuck at 65%.

You might even be doing good based on societal standards

but it’s not YOUR good it’s not YOUR all out and you know it.

If you identify THE RIGHT target things change.

The Hunt Continues. by @_kidane__

I thought meditation was “woo woo” for a long time then I learned

The most competitive athlete of all time was required to sit in silence before every game.

He thought it was a waste of time. (Like I did)

His coach made him do it anyway.

What Phil Jackson knew and what the neuroscience now confirms is

that the mind under pressure does not perform. It reacts.

And a mind that is only reacting has already lost the edge that you need to get the most out of yourself.

Meditation It makes you precise. A lot of people think it’s about some magic trance you’re suppose to get into and I did too

But It trains the brain to place attention exactly where you choose it, instead of wherever the pressure sends it.

Jordan was not great because he was the most talented man on the floor.

Even though he was ☝🏾let’s be clear lol

He was great because in the moments that decided championships, his mind was exactly where it needed to be.

Train the attention. Everything else follows. by @_kidane__

I’ve succeeded and fail multiple times I’ve seen hundreds of other

people succeed and fail multiple times.

The common thread among the successes was the driving force behind action.

When it depended on motivation I eventually failed and so did the others I observed.

But when that internal switch flips on. That desire, that biological

system WE ALL have is utilized, you dont lose.

Motivation is a concious effortful endeavor that’s undependable.

Desire the mechanism built into your DNA to get you to pursue.

I know people are telling you fondling motivation here and look for it there.

I want to get you a different perspective. Something you don’t have to go outside of yourself for.

Get in touch with your desire. Turn on the hunger. Watch what you turn into by @_kidane__

Can you clearly unbiasedly see yourself?

Of rouse not. And I don’t say that to insult you.

It should free you.

BUT those patterns about yourself that you can’t see are 100% holding you back from realizing your full potential

Whether you do something about it or not is up to you.

If you’re reading this thinking “I’m good I don’t want to realize my full potential I’m cool with just being above average”

I’m not talking to you. This is for the hunters 🗣️ by @_kidane__

If you’re clicking on
“Rewire your mind in 7 minutes”
or
“$0 to $100K in 30 days”

Doing the new fad diets thinking its special

Or the new supplement that torches body fat? For sure this one is going to work

that’s not ambition.

That’s the exact pattern keeping you stuck.

The lie isn’t the outcome all those things can happen but the timeline is engineered to to make a light bulb go off in your brain

“ SHORTCUT”

And every time you buy into it,
you train your brain to expect results
without the sustained effort required to produce them.

So what happens?

You start hard.
Burn out.
Reset.
Repeat.

That’s the loop.

The people who actually get there didnt have a better shortcut.

They stopped looking for one.

Think of anyone successful in anything that attributed their success to some type of hack.

And if this type of marketing still pulls you in—

that’s the real problem you need to solve

There’s no shortcut to excellence. by @_kidane__

“Come on, you’ve got this” is not mental performance training. It is just noise.

Real instructional self-talk tells your body exactly what to do next. It is the difference between managing your emotion and directing your execution.

Staring at the food you said you weren’t going to eat? Instead of “stay strong, you’ve got this” you say to yourself “stand up and walk to the other room.” That is your instruction. One last sales call and you’re running on empty? Instead of “push through, you can do this” you say “pick up the phone and dial the first two numbers.” About to walk into the biggest meeting of the quarter? Instead of “you’re ready, you’ve prepared for this” you say “slow your breath, shoulders down, first point.”

You are not hyping yourself up. You are giving your nervous system a specific directive.

Kobe didn’t train himself to feel confident after a bad play. It was more so he trained stay in execution mode.

Stop managing how you feel. Start directing what you do. Those are two completely different things.

Save this. Figure out what your instructional cue is before the moment arrives. by @_kidane__

“ you want to go fast go alone, you want to go far go together”

The ONLY way to speed up a journey is to have a guide.

We love to say everything is “90% mental” but you’re not training the most important muscle you have to get What you want

Most of us don’t think we need it or aren’t aware it exist.

The best on the planet in sports, business etc all have/had mental performance coaches.

They realized al the strategy, workouts etc mean nothing if they dont know how to get the most out of themselves.

You think it’s a strategy finding competition and all the strategies work. That’s not it.

It’s a self development competition. Who can become the most aware the fastest and act the fastest on their own self defeating patterns. by @_kidane__
