We’re still in awe from all the support and love we recieved from our segment on @positivelyphillytv Almost 3 years ago, we embarked on this journey to serve our community, provide a safe space for women and encourage our black and brown girls to get outside and move their bodies. Through that, we’ve hosted and participated in so many mental wellness events and activities and our favorite part of it all will always be, the community. Here’s to season 3, we can’t wait to join with our ppl on and off the trails taken in PHL17 by @_koifish

Another year around the sun 🌙
 This year came with big losses but even bigger, beautiful wins.

I stayed calm, rooted, and anchored in the truth. I channeled my energy in the most positive ways I could. I learned. I grew. I loved.

I’m simply grateful for this life and deeply thankful for those who love on me.
 My village, my friends, my community held me down this year in the realest way.💕

We’re just 19 days away from one of the BEST races our city has to offer! @philadelphiadistancerun 🏃🏾‍♀️✨

Becoming a PDR Ambassador meant so much to me personally. This is a race I run in honor of my grandmother’s birthday, but it’s also a race that represents so much of what I love about running…community, connection, and showing up for one another.❣️

PDR is simply a race where you never feel alone. Whether it’s the cheers from locals along the course, the runners beside you pushing through those miles, or your own family and friends waiting to cheer you on …it’s a vibe that truly can’t be matched.

Ending summer in serenity🙌🏿

Today was a beautiful reminder that community is one of the greatest forms of wellness. We’re grateful to have shared the trails with @blackgirlshike.philly , bringing two communities together through movement, nature, conversation, and genuine connection. There’s something powerful about stepping away from the noise, taking a breath, and realizing how much we have to be grateful for the people beside us, the spaces we get to explore, and the opportunity to create memories together.

Transparency, post :

The other day, I was talking to an old college friend. We were joking about how I went MIA after a conversation we were having, and I casually said, “Girl, I was going through something lol 😅😭.”

She laughed, just like I did, and asked what happened. So I told her.

Her response caught me off guard:

“I didn’t think you were serious about going through stuff. You really never know with social media because you always look so well and happy.”

And that conversation stuck with me.

I don’t ever want y’all to get on this app and think life stops lifing for people just because they’re smiling, traveling, running, hiking, laughing, or sharing beautiful moments.

A lot of you may be new here, but just as I’ve shared my happiness on this app, I’ve also been sad. I’ve been open and vulnerable..to a degree..about my struggles and even how @blackgirlshike.philly came to be.

Today, I stand stronger, wiser, and happier but I still struggle sometimes.

I struggle with life changing and adapting with it. I struggle with the uncertainty of what’s next while still choosing to have faith and trust myself because I’ve been here before.

I struggle with grief. The grief of those who are no longer here, and a different kind of grief for those who are only a phone call away, but knowing sometimes it’s better to leave the line silent.

Life can be beautiful and hard at the same time. Happiness doesn’t mean the absence of struggle. Sometimes it simply means I’ve learned how to keep finding joy in the middle of it.

I’m just a girl living life the best way I can. Sharing my adventures, my healing, and my spirit in hopes that somewhere along the way, it inspires yours. ✨
