Something lives inside the corridors and coves of every one of Gaudí’s works, a devotion to detail that no amount of commercialism or tourism can fully drown out. A frequency embedded in the ceramic tiles. A magnetism that holds within the stained class. You feel it in every curve, every pattern, every color palette. every texture. The intentional silhouettes that the natural light casts. The playfulness with shadows. The anatomy of nature not imitated but channeled, made structural, made sacred.To stand inside what an inspired and suffering mind gave the world is to be unraveled by it. The unwavering commitment. The scale. The amount of projects completed with each one more intricate than the last. Hand cut glass. Hand painted tiles. Wunder. Awe. Whimsy. up and down every staircase and around every fluid bend. It’s high time we bring back the true patrons of the arts in architecture. The ones who commission legacy and timeless beauty not content for quarterly campaigns but for works that hold values, spirit and reverence through centuries. by @_kyma_
