As I scroll through these pictures, I can’t stop crying.

Not because of the party itself, but because of what these pictures represent.

Love.

People traveled from near and far. They rearranged schedules, bought flights, drove for hours, found babysitters, took off work, and paused their own lives just to create a memory with me.

Some of these faces I hadn’t seen in over 10 years. Others have never missed an opportunity to celebrate me. My family. My chosen family. The people who don’t need social media to remember me. The people who check on me when I get quiet. The people who love me through every season. The people who stand beside me when life is beautiful... and when it isn’t. The people who remind me, over and over again, that I’ve never had to walk this life alone.

There aren’t enough words to express what that means, and Instagram will only allow me 20 pictures.

To my husband... thank you. You didn’t just throw me a party—you gave me a room full of reminders that I am deeply loved. Every detail reflected your heart and your commitment to my happiness, and I’ll never forget what you gave me.

To everyone who was there... thank you. Thank you for your time, your presence, your hugs, your laughter, your prayers, and your love. You reminded me that the greatest gift we’ll ever give each other isn’t money or things...

It’s showing up.

I hope you all know what your presence meant to me. Years from now, I may not remember every song that played or every decoration that filled the room. But I’ll always remember looking around and seeing the people who pray for me, laugh with me, cry with me, celebrate me, and continue to CHOOSE me.

My heart is so incredibly full.

Whewww. A year ago? I was going through it fr fr. Smiling through silent battles, grieving dreams that didn’t pan out, and holding pieces of myself together with hope and lip gloss. What a difference a year makes.

I kept my healing quiet. I kept my love quiet. Then boom—got back with my man, got engaged, and got married… all in the same year. Plot twist? Nah—God’s plan.

I failed some things, crushed others, and somehow landed exactly where I’m meant to be. I’m now a stepmom to two amazing souls, a wife learning in real time, and a woman finally pouring into herself with the same intensity she used to pour into proving her worth.

Through it all, my husband held my hand in the storm and steadied me when my mind got loud. His love didn’t rescue me—it reminded me I was never lost. He helped calm my soul, making it easier to see clearly in the darkest corners of my mind. That kind of peace? Unmatched.

This next year? It’s about softness with structure, love with boundaries, and showing up for myself just as fiercely as I show up for everyone else. I’m not shrinking. I’m not explaining. I’m not asking for permission.
