ā€œIn the Shadows Lightā€ explores what it means to create from behind the scene and to shape, direct, and craft art while allowing others to step into the light. As a founder, my role shifted from being a full-time musician to becoming a creative director, highlighting others and creating space for them to explore identity through design. @fromthearxhive has fostered a different version of myself. It has allowed me to go deeper into my imagination and place me in spaces where my own shadow could be seen through the light. It has kept me close to the craft while moving me further away from perception. This story is an exploration of the why and howā€”being in the shadow and cultivating a deeper level of creativity. Iā€™m forever grateful to everyone who played a major role in bringing this vision to life, especially my graphic designers and my community. EDITORIAL IV is a prime example of intentionality and storytelling. We stayed consistent with our approach, didnā€™t sell our customers short and made sure to provide a space for the culture to exist. HAITI 1928 Summer Olympics always been a staple since 2022. Every approach and ReRelease was epic and had a different way to tell amazing stories. In 2022, @fromthearxhiveā€™s first retail collaboration with @granrumarket began on Flatbush Avenueā€”an early breakthrough that introduced the brandā€™s graphic T-shirts to a wider audience. Later that year, the Haiti 1928 Summer Olympics collection launched exclusively online and sold out within days, signaling a turning point in the brandā€™s growth. ā€œAs a Flatbush native and Haitian descendant, the collaboration reflects a personal commitment to cultural storytelling through design. I asked a wise man what courage is. He said ā€œto act without waiting for fear to leaveā€ I always have a story behind a concept which eventually turns into a design. Made in Resistance is a cloth we wear to represent our strength as black folks in America. Itā€™s a way of life. Itā€™s understanding systems, navigating it and developing a strong ground to walk on when things get tough. I tend to use pictures of figures to celebrate these meanings (Muhammad Ali)ā€¦. itā€™s not just a picture we put on garments, itā€™s the unique perspective that you can ONLY envision.
