Explorations for the subway entrance 🚉 created for the film @goatmovieofficial 🐐🏀

I had a very specific story moment to illustrate.
I was heavily inspired by our trip to Spain when I painted it !
This image went through many explorations of trees, style, and mood ! I learned so much and absolutely loved painting it 🤩

"What does working as a Visual Development artist actually look like in a real production ? In this workshop, I will take you behind the scenes of professional animation and show you what the process really looks like, beyond the usual sketch → color key → final painting workflow !

Every production is different, and we don’t always start with a clear brief or a perfectly prepared layout. Sometimes we receive storyboards, 3D blockouts, references, or very specific directions. Other times, we start with almost nothing and have to figure things out ourselves ! Through real production examples, I will show you the different types of materials we can receive, how I approaches each situation, and how I adapts my workflow depending on what the project actually needs 💪🏼

We’ll also talk about something super important but isn’t always taught : knowing when to be autonomous, when to ask questions, what decisions we’re expected to make as artists, and how to work efficiently within a production pipeline !
I’ll also share a pre-recorded painting demonstration where we’ll go through my process together, from interpreting a brief to developing a final image. This way, we can pause at any moment, discuss the decisions making, answer your questions, and explore the reasoning behind each step !

The goal is to give you a better understanding of the reality of working in Visual Development, including all the little things that happen behind the scenes and that we don’t always get to see in portfolios or tutorials !"

One of my biggest dreams is to paint at least one official card for the One Piece TCG 🏴‍☠️
(@onepiece_staff 🙇🏼‍♀️ - I live in Japan !).

With the next One Piece Heroines TCG set already announced, I thought it was the perfect time to create my own Boa Hancock card inspired by the visual style of the Heroines novels ! ✨

This was one of the last key visuals we worked on.
None of us knew it at the time, but it perfectly reflected the state of the team.
We kept holding on, we kept believing, we kept creating ♥️
Until the very end.
Looking at it today, it no longer feels like just a poster.
It feels like the story of everyone who worked on Blades of the Guardians ♥️

These skies took an unbelievable amount of work to create (seriously... blood, sweat and tears 😅), but you did amaaaazing !

I'm so happy they made it into the official trailer, allowing a small piece of our team's work to live on ♥️

Here’s the color script I had the opportunity to create for the animated feature film (and trailer) Blades of the Guardians with @eastworks_animation ⚔️🩸

The team provided me with previous color sketches and storyboards, and my task was to completely rebuild the color script from the ground up !

Beyond this color script, @pierre_alexandre_schuller and I also had the chance to contribute as art direction consultants on various aspects of the film. A lot of that work involved look development, paint-overs, visual feedback, and notes to help refine the project's overall direction !

Most of those materials are far less "Instagram friendly" than finished artwork though, they often look more like informative sheets filled with annotations, rough paintovers and production notes 😅

Sooo if you'd be interested in seeing more of that behind the scenes development process, let me know in the comments ! I'd be happy to share some of it 🥰
