Our new issue is out today in the UK! This month, we're honoured to feature Indonesian comic book artist @ann_maulina on our cover. Inside, Ann will guide you through her process for creating our cover art from start to finish, covering thumbnails, inking and colouring in Clip Studio Paint.

Also in the issue, we talk to pro artists about the controversial use of AI tools and what can be done to stop them. We also interview fantasy illustrator @jbmongestudio, who talks about his career, inspirations and his firm stance against AI-generated images. Elsewhere, @cyanali520 explains how to make your character art pop in Procreate, learn to mix 2D and 3D tools to create a fantasy setting with @etienne_savoie, former ILM art director @juliengauthierart discusses how he made a scene for Amazon Prime series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, character concept artist @mindoodley shows us around her LA studio setup, and we delve into the sketchbook of Spanish illustrator @julian_delrey – you have to see his character sketch with a bat crown, that's right, we said bat crown!

Plus, there's extra art and advice from @jdebbiel, @larvl_, @elbenherzart, @greg_rutkowski, @joel_chaim_holtzman, @marjoramarts, @leo_li_art, @_lea.pinto_, @justingerardillustration, @annasokolovaartist, @artem_solop, @tiffanyturrill, @cascianoart and loads more inside.

Visit the link in our bio for more info!

The print edition is on sale in the UK today and will reach overseas shops in the coming weeks (we also deliver to over 140 countries!). We're also available to buy immediately as an iOS or Android digital edition from Apple Newsstand, Pocketmags, Zinio or Amazon PDF.

Hi friends! I am so excited to share with you the trailer for Yellowbird, the short animated film Jerred and I have been working on full-time for the last year!

It has been a labor of love since late 2018, but it would not have been possible without the immense support and resources the Animated Shorts Program by @wbdaccess and @hbomax provided to us.

I still pinch myself that we were able to collaborate with such a team of crazy talented and kind people, whose work I had admired remotely for a long time already.

Please join us in watching what we've created when Only You: An Animated Shorts Collection comes out on HBOMax next Wednesday, March 23rd.

Yellowbird has been a labor of love since 2018, when Tsvet lost her dad unexpectedly overseas. She wasn’t able to go home to say goodbye, so we started work on this film instead.
After applying to several grants (that we did not get), we heard about a first-year program looking for short film ideas, HBO Max x Warner Bros. Discovery Access Animated Shorts Program. We pitched with all the materials we had made up to that point, and ultimately, they asked us to join.
We are incredibly lucky to be one of the eight teams selected for this year's projects. This was an all-encompassing last year that pushed us past the edge of what we thought we could do, and we did it with some of the most talented and kind people on the planet.
It was made with a lot of love and we really hope you will check out what we’ve made when "Only You: An Animated Shorts Collection" comes out on HBOMax next Wednesday, March 23rd.
