**** it's my final few weeks on the Acme London Residency. I've been focusing on research, looking at rare historical collections of alchemical, astrological and astronomical imagery, experimenting with new materials, and planning new works. Soooo much has happened, it's too hard to summarise my time here, but what I can say it's been a beautiful experience !***** Thank you so so much to @creative.australia @acme.art for the incredible opportunity and support to spend 6 months living and making in London🧡 so looking forward to getting back to the studio with all this new found material and energyy*** taken in London, United Kingdom by @_lisammut_

We’re excited to welcome Lisa Sammut (@_lisammut_) to London as our next Creative Australia (@creative.australia) resident.

Lisa Sammut is a Kamberri/Canberra based visual artist known for poetic, intuitive and experiential works including video, photography, sculpture and installation. Using a wide range of media, she positions the cosmos as a material and conceptual framework for exploring the parallels between interplanetary forms and forces and the dynamics of our social, political and personal worlds.

We look forward to working with over the next few months, Lisa!

*It's the final few days of my time here at the Beinecke rare books library. I have spent 5 weeks now completely saturating my eyes and mind with cosmic imagery and texts from the unique astrological, astronomical and alchemical archives and library collections here at Yale. A thousand thank yous to @beineckelibrary and the @_aaausa arts fund for supporting me to travel so far and do this research. I'm looking forward to taking all these new images, thoughts and feelings back to the studio soooon~~~~~~~~~× taken in Books Books Books by @_lisammut_

***pleased to share some recent documentation of my show 'how the earth will approach you' currently on view on Bidjigal & Gadigal Country at @unswgalleries. Thank you to everyone who has visited so far and for your kind messages, and of course @inventaire @catwoollley for the invitation to restage and reimagine these works in syd💙. Feels like quite the homecoming after being in Kamberri for a while... Exhibition runs until the 24 November***
