日本からご挨拶申し上げます。

The delegation of Japan, duly represented by myself, H.E. Sanusi Muhammad Ajibola, arrived at AFRIMUN 2026 yesterday, and we are honoured to be here.

As a delegate representing Japan, I look forward to engaging actively with other delegations to discuss, and to help bring forward, effective and lasting solutions to the global issues that threaten world peace.

FYB PERSONALITY OF THE DAY

Meet Sanusi Muhammad✨
Some people find deep meaning in the moments that matter, and Sanusi Muhammed is exactly that.

An Agricultural Economics student with a love for reading novels, Sanusi carries a thoughtful, grounded spirit. His most memorable moment in JCI is a beautiful one, the moment he read the Creed during induction, a memory that clearly still holds weight in his heart.

His advice to intending members is one to hold onto: “Participate in the LO’s activities and get involved as much as possible.” And with a warm shout-out to all House Apollo members, Sanusi reminds us that belonging begins with showing up. 🔥
Join us in celebrating today’s FYB Personality, a heart rooted in purpose and presence.

As we observe the International Human Duties Day today, I cannot help but reflect on my time since being a JCI member @jcinoau . Constantly seeing young individuals passionate about creating positive change in their environment has said a lot about the passion and how, if given a chance, and with like minded individuals, we can create a world which we all long to have.

Let us all act on the Seven Human duties which represent a call to action for every individual committed to building a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

✨️Preserve life
✨️Serve humanity
✨️Sustain the future
✨️Pursue prosperity
✨️Respect human personality
✨️Educate and empower
✨️Lead responsibly

Being the Chairperson of the Annual Charity week 2026 was as much a honour as it was an immense responsibility. This was an event which has been a constant of the club in her 57 years of existence and I definitely did not want to flop it all during the tenure.

Over the course of planning, asking questions about how it was held from Graduate members, seeking sponsorship, directing details of the event, coordinating Club members and volunteers for the event, I was opened to another phase of growth which was a deeply reflective one.

Also discovered some core areas I still need to build myself which is very important for me personally. All in all, especially grateful to my brothers, volunteers for making this work fr!

Orphanage Visitation.

Spent time with the kids, shared a few moments, and saw genuine smiles; simple, but meaningful.

It also makes you pause and appreciate the people who show up for them every day. The caretakers doing that work consistently deserve a lot of respect.

Experiences like this don’t need too many words, but this really will stay with me.

Grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the kids happiness. taken in Obafemi Awolowo University by @_ma_sanusi_

The Blood Donation exercise; held for two days consecutively.

As at the point of planning the event, I somewhat did not fully understand the need for this particular initiative and since it included health issues, i was somewhat afraid of any casualty or incident that might spring up, so I made quite a number of research on why exactly it is needed. This was what made me discover an alarming fact; Nigeria has just about thirty-something percent (can't remember the exact figure) of the needed blood required for several cases of blood Transfusion (accident victims, severe loss of blood during childbirth and so on).

This showed me the need for voluntary donors and the necessity in our environment. It made me understand more why the Club always had the initiative over the 57 years of her existence. Fully understanding this, I was able to further direct the publicity to discuss the problems, allay my fears regarding the process of collecting blood and encourage more people to actually take action and voluntarily donate blood.

"Voluntary blood donation saved my mom and I when she gave birth to me and every since my mom told me, I have since started donating blood to save other people's lives too." This was what one of the donors said when he was making the necessary registrations before donating blood and it really stuck with me. Like the banner said, "Donate blood, save a life" and each donor there also further enlightened on humanity.

"I am because we are"- Ubuntu.

The two days were actually the most stressful days of the week but the most fulfilling also due to the humane action I witnessed firsthand.

The event also went really well and realised over 200 pints of blood which rounded in a huge success. taken in Obafemi Awolowo University by @_ma_sanusi_
