✨✨✨So excited: my book TO PARADISE is currently part of the 2025 Handmade Photobook Exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography
@griffinmuseum. I am beyond grateful to Sangyon Joo, founder of @datzpress who not only enriches my life with her wonderful books but also selected my book among so many amazing treasures. Huge thanks as well to Crista and Anna for all their efforts

Paradise is a landscape of the soul within us.

Dear friends,

this is an impression of an unfolding body of work - very specific cyanotypes, created in my plastic free and vegan way - where I ponder resolution and uniting of opposites inspired by the Japanese concept of Shibusa as well as the alchemist contemplations of C.G. Jung (mysterium coniunctionis) and the notion that one’s gold might reside in the shadow.
I will elaborate more on this in a future post…  All of these cyanotype have in common that the positive and the negative are united in a golden way.

I intend to continue working on this project using motifs from my TO PARADISE series - and keep you updated - once we will be relocated to Berlin in the end of June. So please send all your blessings for a smooth transition and an amazing unfolding of things …

Btw, this motif is not manipulated at all, I captured it while being immersed in the ocean 🌊.

And my current favorite notion that keeps me sane:
>> 🦋Nature does not hurry yet all is accomplished <<

I am a bit late for World Cyanotype Day, but here we go. (You can still participate yourself today until midnight )
Enjoy my tribute to honor my favorite alternative process.
And some variations or let‘s call it “Appearances“ from this motif that I currently play with. (All created vegan, plastic-free and as sustainable as possible; some scans, some process captures)
