It feels impossible to write this, impossible to fathom this kind of devastating and overwhelming loss, impossible to wrap my mind around the fact this is real life. Robyn Gracen Petty, my beautiful and perfect mom went to be with Jesus on October 17th 2025. My mom was an indescribable person. She was unique, kind in a way that was indicative of her real and true love of Jesus, she was hilarious and silly, and a giver. She was a devoted wife to my dad, they had the most incredible love that everyone looked up to and admired. They were always laughing, sharing loving glances, holding hands, traveling to see each of us, going to concerts, having fun, and serving others from MD Anderson to Zambia and everywhere in between. We all know her best role was being a mom. To me, to my brother & sister, Keith & Ryan, Hope & Ce, and hundreds of others from Texas to Zambia to Florida to Kentucky and more. She was born to be a mom. She knew every child at tree of life by name, she was friends with every house mom, every DL, every mines football player, every rush cycle instructor, any and everyone who needed it. I think we all can also agree there is no one in the world who loved dogs as much as my mom. She would go out of her way to pet every dog possible, always was excited when a dog came to ask for pets, loved getting jumped on, and kissed on the face. I could write a novel about my love for my mom, I think most of us could, but I will leave you all with this: my mom will be with us forever. She will be in every monkey lamp, every heart shaped leaf, every “11:11 say a prayer,” every giggle of a Zambian child, every wagging dog tail, every glass of red wine, every dog themed everything. Everyone who meets and knows me will know her because I am not me without my mom and I never will be. I love you forever and ever mom, I will miss you every single day in every single moment with every fiber of my being. Well done good and faithful servant. Well done. by @_madisonpetty

the best trips include these two 🤗

caramel praline supremacy

supporting our local sweet shop DUH

and obvi supporting the local bookstore 🫶🏼

we all got some much needed rest on this trip 🙂‍↕️

had A LOT of breakfast

did A LOT of shopping

ate A LOT of cheese grits (gavin doesn’t get it 🙄)

did a vacay bucket sit

after a really emotional week, my friends showed up and made this birthday beyond special 🌻💕 in light of keeping social media #real i truly had one of my toughest weeks leading up to my bday, missing my mom SO much. she loved birthdays and made them so special. my first instinct was to ignore the day altogether, but i knew that’s not what she would have wanted. so we celebrated, we laughed, we cried, we hugged, we told stories, and i had a truly amazing bday. 🥹
