this project began with a gift. when i was a child in russia, i sat with an old potter who pressed a small vessel into my hands: “fill it with water and make a wish, and when the water is gone, your wish will be true.”

this summer i made eleven palm-sized vessels, one for each of us, to carry through a full moon cycle. a gift of hope. a quiet ritual.

on the opening evening we departed our homes across berlin in hummed our way to the water, each a lullaby of our own, until we found one another and our voices melted into one pool of sound at the dock.

This coming Monday, we begin our Improvisation workshop at the @90milartschool.
During this course, we aim to explore techniques of modern improvisation, graphic score creation and interpretation within the context of our collective.
Learning improvisation can be beneficial to musicians of all levels and all instruments, as well as composers.
Feel free to bring your own compositions, graphic scores and ideas!
We encourage you to come for a try-out and decide if this course fits you ✨️

We encourage our students to register for the full course, as we will be building on our material and working on a final presentation/concert, but you are free to join for a single class and decide if this is is the right fit for you!
For more info, visit the link in our bios or contact us via DM.
We are happy to answer your questions.
See you there ☆ taken in Berlin, Germany by @_marianthie
