Victor Evink (1987, Bogotá) es un investigador artístico radicado en Utrecht, nacido en Colombia y adoptado en los Países Bajos. Con una formación en Estudios de Ciencia y Tecnología (STS), su práctica gira en torno a la evolución de los sistemas de conocimiento, la tecnología y las subculturas periféricas. Trabajando desde una perspectiva conceptual y curatorial, se interesa especialmente por la colaboración, a través de su asociación creativa de larga trayectoria @liminal.vision y de la iniciativa comunitaria @boundary.object. Desde su experiencia como persona neurodivergente y adoptada transcontinentalmente, su trabajo aborda futuros especulativos, pluralidad ontológica y la navegación de mundos interiores.

Victor Evink (b. 1987, Bogotá) is a Utrecht-based artistic researcher, born in Colombia and adopted to the Netherlands. Drawing from a background in Science and Technology Studies (STS), his practice revolves around the evolution of knowledge systems, technology, and peripheral subcultures. Working conceptually and curatorially, he gravitates toward collaboration, most notably through his longstanding creative partnership @liminal.vision and the community-oriented initiative @boundary.object. Informed by his lived experience as both neurodivergent and a transcontinental adoptee, his work engages with speculative futures, ontological plurality, and navigating inner worlds.

In my most liminal space...

As of last Saturday, I have no physical space to call home. Not yet my turn for social housing, not yet able to afford the rent of an independent appartment. But although the Dutch housing crisis is now part of my personal story, it is a story about having learned to come home to myself, to root, to allow myself to be received and have a place in the world. I learned that, more than anything, through sinking into the sandy mud on the Brienenoord Island in Rotterdam, and making ajiaco with wild picked guascas out of a dirty alley down-town Utrecht. And walking past the many liminal doors in the endless hallways of the gigantic storage hall, I couldn't help but do a little dance - a tiny one. by @_mcvickers0n

Now that the @backroomsmovie is trending, it's good moment to revisit the "liminal space" film that I co-created in 2022 as duo @liminal.vision . Not in the sense of internet-culture horror, but rather as a poetic, psycho-spiritual approach to "lingering", even "dancing" with complexities and tensions, in systems, but especially inside of ourselves.

Urgently looking for a room in Utrecht! (max. ~€800/month excl.)

Hi! I'm Victor, 38 years old, working at @wondersofworkutrecht in the centre of Utrecht and living in Kanaleneiland. I'm involved in a local church and community centre @huisvanvredeutrecht , and occasionally work on projects in the fields of culture, technology and society.
My primary tenant is now moving to Amsterdam and the owner is selling the property. My sublet contract has been terminated and I need new accommodation from June onwards.
I work four days a week and have a permanent contract. After completing my Master's degree, I had to find a different path in the job market due to autism. This is going well now, but my budget remains limited for the time being. I've been on the waiting list for social housing at DAK since 2016 and expect to reach the top within about a year, so I'm looking for somewhere in the meantime.
Who I am as a housemate: I'm positive, social and have a good sense of humour. I enjoy a chat in the kitchen, the occasional shared dinner or a cosy film or games night. I work two evenings a week and get home around 10:30 PM on those days. I care about having a place that genuinely feels like home. I'll contribute to a good atmosphere and always communicate openly if something could work better, so that living together is enjoyable for everyone.
Preference: Kanaleneiland, Transwijk, Hoograven, Rivierenwijk or Oog in Al — but anywhere in Utrecht or just outside the city (Nieuwegein, Houten, Bunnik) is also an option.
