I have celebrated and cheered loudly for @ndicandice for over a decade so taking the stage together for the first time was a special moment for me💛. And what better occassion than a graduation ceremony for 47 women who have completed PLANTED Level, the first of 4 years in the ROOTS ladies discipleship program🎊.

As I go into my final year which is the ENTRUSTED Level, I'm so grateful that I am now equipped with the beauty and the boldness God intended for me as a woman, in my home and in the marketplace. I Applaud @econetzimbabwe for encouraging and supporting their staff on this transformative journey under the Wellness Initiative👏.

⚓️ How do you distill hours of expertise into a high-impact session for 600+ delegates? Moderating the "Anchored to Build and Scale" masterclass at the Leadership Exchange was a masterclass in itself. When you have experts with incredible stories and a ticking clock, the quality of your output depends entirely on the quality of your input—the questions.
By speaking with the panelists beforehand, I was able to frame the context early enabling them to dive straight into insights and actionable lessons that truly brought value to the audience.

Yesterday, 28 September, was World News Day! I was reflecting on some similarities between News Anchors and MCs and realised that while both have the task of presenting information to an audience, keeping them informed, engaged, and guiding the flow of communication, with clear articulation and engaging delivery, the biggest difference is in the methods of maintaining audience interest and the use of or, the limitations to gestures and movements. As someone who speaks with their hands, I think I did quite well in this mock News Anchor clip.

Tools for the trade- the women challenging the narrative

This week 240 youth graduated from Dumisha Amani II in Tanzania — many were women and single mothers trained in trades like electrical installation.

I was reminded of conversations with Maasai young women who told me that being given the chance to learn a skill and to work was priceless. Where they come from, a woman working is still frowned upon by some, seen as a sign that her father or husband cannot provide. So when she picks up a tool, she is not just learning a trade. She is challenging a whole narrative about worth and dependence.

That’s what programs like this in Mtwara, Lindi, Ruvuma and Kigoma understand.

1. Economic empowerment is peacebuilding. When young women can earn, they are less vulnerable to conflict and exploitation.
2. Design for the women others overlook. Real inclusion means going to the regions and groups programs often miss.
And finally,
3. Skills restore dignity, not just income.

80 leaders in business, media, arts and sport received an invitation like mine from the Leadership Exchange, to go on a 6 week journey of transformation from Success to Significance through the John Maxwell Success Round Tables! I said YES and last night, we kicked off by hearing testimonials from the previous cohort, meeting our facilitators and those we will sit round the table with in shared learning and growth.

I am looking forward to:
✅ Refining my definition of success,
✅ Moving from intention to action and
✅ Showing up for myself as a way of building resilience!

As we sat with eagerness and anticipation, the lady next to me asked, "How do you do it all?" A question I often ask myself before taking on something new in addition to a full life. The answer? "There is grace for every season 🤲!"
