7 year ago today I sent my first collection down the @kc_fashionweek runway. My 17 year marriage had ended and I didn’t have much faith that I would be able to pull this off. Angels like YOU showed up and liked commented shared and even shopped. Somehow what I thought would be a silly thing became a career. My life’s passion. My style has grown, my skill set has changed 🥴 but the magic stays the same. To this day I can hear the gasp of the crowd as @_michellemorris_ stepped out the doors. And the funny thing is I told @laynewhitehouse it was ok if I didn’t send that gown down the runway when I was short a model🥴🙃 she said umm no we’ll find a model. I believed the Marissa Gown would never sell. I had too much audacity thinking that someone would spend that much money on a couture Gown. Ironically, I still have tons of inventory of everything else that never sold.. I hate that it’s so cliché but the saying really is true. What I thought was going to be. The end truly was the beginning. I didn’t want my divorce but seven years later I see it very differently. My girls and i are excited to attend the RED CARPET PREMIERE for the movie @dontmovethemovie by @therealmurr tomorrow! We had the opportunity to spend a couple days filming the carnival scene of this movie 🎬Can’t wait to see it hit big screen for the first time tomorrow! 👼 We felt an Angel today! Such a sweet moment when you can feel a bit of heaven from your baby nephew. 💗At Maddis dance convention they played the song that i put on the slideshow for my nephews funeral. 🥹13 is the number we have seen and felt when he is near 👼 and today is his 13th birthday.
