On September 29th, 2026 I returned home after serving the Lord for two years as a missionary. These past two years I would trade for absolutely nothing. The things that I learned and experienced, the people that I met and who I became was worth it all. Above all I know that I’m a Son of God, with infinite worth and divine potential. I know that Jesus Christ is real, that He lives and loves me. I am converted to him.

I gave my homecoming talk on Sunday October 11th, the link to watch it is listed below:

7 years ago I anxiously walked into @unionstationkc wondering if the risk of chasing what felt like a silly dream would be worth it. I learned a lot about the business of fashion. Ironically If I knew now what I know back then runway may have never been part of the equation. One thing that runway gave me that I desperately needed was a new life full of friends that none of them knew who my WASband was. No one knew me as a mom. I needed to believe a bunch of strangers that the person I presented on the runway was really me. So many set their alliance and showed up for me. The outpouring of kindness from strangers was strange but fed a fire to want to keep going. Cheers to making it another year chasing wild dreams together #kyndrajade #kyndrasangels #kansascityfashiondesigner

7 year ago today I sent my first collection down the @kc_fashionweek runway. My 17 year marriage had ended and I didn’t have much faith that I would be able to pull this off. Angels like YOU showed up and liked commented shared and even shopped. Somehow what I thought would be a silly thing became a career. My life’s passion. My style has grown, my skill set has changed 🥴 but the magic stays the same. To this day I can hear the gasp of the crowd as @_michellemorris_ stepped out the doors. And the funny thing is I told @laynewhitehouse it was ok if I didn’t send that gown down the runway when I was short a model🥴🙃 she said umm no we’ll find a model. I believed the Marissa Gown would never sell. I had too much audacity thinking that someone would spend that much money on a couture Gown. Ironically, I still have tons of inventory of everything else that never sold.. I hate that it’s so cliché but the saying really is true. What I thought was going to be. The end truly was the beginning. I didn’t want my divorce but seven years later I see it very differently. Cheers to chasing dreams angel.. and once you dream probably dream a little bigger! #kyndrasangels #kyndrajade #kansascityfashiondesigner
