My wife always says, “What is meant for you, will not pass you.” I understand that now more than ever.

Where I stand today isn’t by my own power. It’s by God’s grace, His timing, and His hand over every part of the journey.

Before I could fully see it, I had more questions than answers. Truthfully, I still do. But the things I’ve experienced and the doors God has opened, have reminded me that none of this has been by my own might.

A lot of it has been bigger than anything I could’ve imagined for myself.

Grateful to walk this journey with my wife and Lydia by my side and grateful for every person who’s been part of it.

Thankful for all God has allowed me to experience, and trusting Him with all that’s still ahead #TGBTG by @_mikechalas

Been around some really good teams… this one will always stay with me.

13 guys who bought into something bigger than themselves. It demanded a lot of them, and they stayed committed to each other through all of it. That’s what I’m most proud of. The sacrifice, the trust, the way they showed up for one another every single day.

First National Championship in program history. First one from the PSAC. That part will live forever… but the real story is who these guys were day to day and what they poured into each other.

Grateful for the trust they gave us as coaches, and even more grateful I got to be around them every day. Truly an honor to coach this team.

So many people behind the scenes made this possible, our staff, administration, families, and the entire Gannon/Erie community. We felt you every step of the way. This is yours too. ♥️⚔️ #TGBTG by @_mikechalas

Sometimes the outside world won’t see what you see. They’ll say it doesn’t make sense, that it won’t work, or that it’s not the right way. All that matters is what the people in the room believe.

I’ve prayed for moments like this. I’ve prayed for players I could be entrusted with - to LEAD and support in every aspect. One of the greatest human beings I had the privilege to meet did that for me and forever changed my life. I have vowed to do the same for the rest of my career, wherever it may take me.

I can’t put into words how proud I am of this group, but what I can say is that the growth they showed as the season progressed was everything and more a coach could ask for.

The path that led me here wasn’t always clear, but it was never without purpose. There’s a deeper reason behind every moment, one that not everyone will understand - but I know who holds me.

WORTH every. single. sacrifice. There are so many circumstances that could’ve written off the uniqueness of this group. What occurred? More belief, more trust, and more work. And because of that, they stand here - PSAC Conference CHAMPS - a testament to the relentless attitude and unwavering heart that carried them through it all.

My loving & beautiful wife, I am so proud of being able to witness firsthand this unique & amazing journey alongside you. You have handled it with such grace & strength. I am so blessed to have you as mine, but more importantly, to be the mother of Lydia 🩷
