so this is what we were up to whilst we were closed — getting upstairs ready 👀

our number of seats has just doubled so we’ve now got plenty of space for everyone, just in time for cooler [and inevitably wetter] weather

BUT — it’s not quite finished yet okay guys!?

are the walls bare? yes. is some furniture missing? also yes. were the speakers meant to arrive today but didn’t? again, yes.

so it’s open as long as we all agree to not mention these things okay? 😅

We’re so excited to relaunch our Barista range.

Here’s the new lineup:
• House 34%
• Classic 51%
• Dark 74%
• Mint 34%
• Solstice 34% (coming very soon)

All made with our signature natural unalkalised cocoa, coconut blossom sugar and a pinch of sea salt.

We took the new range along to @_morso_bakery on Saville Row in Bath for its first outing. It’s only been open three months, but the queues out the door at weekends tell you all you need to know about how good the pastries are.

Georgia and her team really know their hot chocolate too, so we loved introducing them to the new blends and watching them put them through their paces.

House, Classic, Dark and Mint are online now, with Solstice following very soon.

POV: You’ve just found Bath’s incredible new bakery.

New (to me) bakery alert! Around 6 weeks old, and honestly, Morso is that good 🥐

Immaculate vibes, the friendliest staff and doggo friendly, Morso has the cutest little courtyard and a counter full of insanely delicious, creative bakes.

I had the Chocolate Tahini Pain Suisse and it was so, so good.

And the entire menu is 100% vegan-you genuinely would have no idea.

The takeaway haul disappeared before I even got a photo. Who even am I? 🤣
We had:
Gochujang Sesame Garlic Confit Maple Twist. 10/10 🌶️
Strawberries & Cream Cruffin. Obsessed 🍓
Cardamom bun. Delicious
Mushroom Truffle Rarebit Danish. Stunning

This place is right up there with the very best bakeries I’ve been to 100/10. Already planning another Bath trip in October because there’s still so much on the menu I need to try.

here’s what it looked like back then — despite appearances, we fell in love immediately…. we knew we had our work cut out but we had a vision!

lots of new followers on here recently so thought we’d say hello 👋

we’re Matt + Georgia — we met whilst working together in Bristol back in 2016 + we’ve been eating | living | working together ever since

Matt is the chef/baker/food guy + I’m FoH/the one in charge of all the other stuff — it works because we could never do what the other does. but one thing we do share is a passion for good food + hospitality

even on our first date we talked about owning a restaurant one day, but it was 6 years ago that the idea of a bakery took hold + the idea of MORSO really started to form in our minds — we took our time getting here [with the intervening years mostly spent running a cookery school] but now we’ve got the most perfect home on Saville Row + we are loving it

we are joined by a fab team of wonderful talented people + have a lovely bunch of regulars already 🧡

6 weeks in…. there’s still lots more to come 🥐
