Hello summer! How the serendipitous of you to start on Father’s Day…

Huge thanks to @wrucrew for always cooking up the best collaborations — you guys truly make every run feel like a celebration.

This past Sunday @wrucrew teamed up with @psg on 17th Street in NYC for an epic run on the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year — and Father’s Day! Running through the city with all good vibes was pure magic. I felt like a kid again.

Grateful for every stride and every laugh. These moments are why we run 🖤

What a way to celebrate turning 7! 🎉⚽️

My son and I experienced our very first FIFA World Cup match together — France vs Senegal at MetLife Stadium on June 16.

The energy, the crowd of 80,000+, Mbappé magic, and that unforgettable atmosphere made it a birthday he’ll never forget. So grateful for this core memory.

Les Bleus won 3-1, but the real victory was being there with him. 🖤🇫🇷🇸🇳

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🌟

This summer, Sebastian is officially joining the local running community @wrucrew and he’s already out here running 5Ks with us like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

The determination in his stride, the pure joy on his face, and the incredible energy he brings to every single run has me in absolute awe.

Watching him work hard, show up consistently, and light up our running community has been one of the best parts. So grateful for this kid and the heart he puts into everything he does.

Keep shining, buddy. The pavement (and your mama/dad) are so proud of you. 🏃‍♂️💙

Alexmil Reyes initially immersed himself in the New York City cycling scene.   That’s where he dove deep into performance through his mid-to-late 20s, training for and competing in various races throughout the NYC area. But with so much of a focus on speed, it didn’t leave much room for the community side. 
So when Alexmil got into running, that community emphasis is what he fell in love with the most. Eventually he started running with @wructew and @circa95, through which he’s traveled to Puerto Rico for the Lola Challenge and even returned to his biking roots as a pacer at this year’s OSR30. He says he rarely signs up for races, and that those types of events with friends are what he’s trying to lean into now as a runner—a distinct shift from his origins in the endurance world. 
“Cycling taught me a lot of what it is to try to perform well in an endurance sport, which I really appreciate,” Alexmil says. “Because now when I run, I’ll run through hell. But the community aspect is what’s kept me running this long.” 
We spoke with Alexmil to discuss his takeaways from the OSR30, We Run Uptown’s Mile 21 cheer section at the New York City Marathon, trying out new experiences within the NYC running scene and more.  Read the full interview at the link in bio.
