Part 5: Contrast Therapy Recovery An exercise in seeing space differently. Once an existing carport and driveway, this area was reimagined to become the contrast therapy zone at Wildsoul Williamstown. Rather than allowing the existing footprint to dictate its use, we looked at how the space could be transformed through considered planning, materiality and connection to the broader wellness experience. Raw, textural finishes, integrated greenery and a restrained material palette soften what was once a purely utilitarian space, creating an environment designed to encourage pause, recovery and connection. A complete transformation, without changing the footprint. Interior Design @_nectaar Build @greatergood.cg Photos @dylanjamesphoto @gracepetrie.photography by @_nectaar
Part Four: On The Mat room Heated and non heated Pilates, yoga and sound healing. Warmth was an intentional part of the design language within On The Mat, with the rich wall colour carried across the ceiling to create an immersive, cocooning feel. While the room takes on a more contemporary tonal treatment, we wanted to respect the building’s heritage features. The original skirting detail was retained in white, creating a considered break against the deeper colour. We carried this same detail through to the curtains, introducing a contrasting band along the skirt to mimic the tonal line and add another layer of interest. Function was equally considered. Equipment storage was designed specifically for the room, giving every piece its own place and allowing the space to remain calm, organised and visually refined. The result is a room that feels instantly warm and grounded, with the original balcony doors framing an incredible outlook across the harbour towards the city , connecting this intimate interior back to its remarkable location. Part Three: Vanity Station & Wet Area This space is the definition of a vibe. Designed with both function and luxury in mind, these fully equipped bathrooms, vanity station and lockers allow you to move, recover and get ready for the day—all in one place. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, with premium amenities available for all members to use, including body products, hair dryers, hair ties and everything you need to freshen up before heading out the door. The brief for this space was all about prioritising member experience. It’s at the heart of everything Wildsoul offers. Spaces like this prove that practicality and beautiful design can exist together. Luxury finishes, carefully curated pieces and timeless materials create an environment that feels elevated, welcoming and intentionally designed. The attention to detail is something else. Patterned tile, custom feature lighting, stainless steel fixtures and thoughtfully curated styling create a space that invites you to slow down and appreciate the little things. Nothing is loud or overdone, it’s subtle, layered and refined, quietly evoking a sense of calm, luxury and intention. We loved playing on colour and mood in this design. Because every detail matters. From the moment you walk through the doors to the moment you leave, the experience is designed to feel effortless, inspiring and just a little bit special. Reveal Three — The Reformer Room Designed to feel calm. Built to perform. Every detail of this space was considered to create an experience that feels as good as it functions. Soft, natural textures meet a refined material palette, while the lighting, layout and flow were carefully designed to bring a sense of ease from the moment you walk in. To create consistency throughout the studio and strengthen the overall flow, we continued the horizontal textured rendered feature wall into this space. The continuous finish creates visual cohesion while instantly making the room feel more intimate, grounded and warm. Functionality was considered just as carefully as aesthetics. Custom cubby storage with upholstered bench seating provides a practical place for belongings while encouraging moments of pause before and after class. Thoughtfully integrated into the architecture, the joinery feels like part of the space rather than an addition to it. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Nelson Place, the room is flooded with natural light, connecting movement with the outdoors and creating an environment that feels open, calm and inspiring. Beautiful design should never compete with the experience, it should quietly elevate it. This room was created to do exactly that. Reveal: Retail & Joinery | Front of House Part 2 @wildsoul.wellness.williamstown Don’t underestimate the impact of custom joinery. Thoughtfully designed pieces with both presence and purpose elevate a space, shaping the way people move through it and experience it. A consistent material palette has been carried throughout the studio, while subtle variations in form and detailing create visual interest and give each piece its own identity. This retail space showcases Wildsoul Wellness’s naturopathic tea collection, while also housing the teas enjoyed by members during their visit. It has quickly become a favourite place to pause between movement and recovery, a space to slow down, connect and simply be. The joinery contributes to the calm, grounding atmosphere of the studio, while standing confidently as a feature in its own right. Every building has a story. This one has many. Project Reveal | Part One: Front of House @wildsoul.wellness.williamstown The scale of this transformation was enormous. From handover to opening, the entire project was completed in just 12 weeks—a timeline made possible through extensive planning, documentation and preparation long before construction began. Originally two separate dwellings, later joined into one, this heritage building has lived many lives. A collection of restaurants, a devastating fire, and now its most considered transformation yet. What appears modest from the street unfolds into a surprisingly expansive series of spaces, stretching the depth of an entire block. The design embraces that journey, creating a seamless flow between movement, recovery and moments of calm, while celebrating the building’s original character. Today, this space is home to Wildsoul Wellness Williamstown—a studio that broke franchise presale records, opened with a full membership base, and has quickly become one of Melbourne’s most sought-after wellness destinations. It’s a reminder that great design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces. It’s about creating an experience, evoking emotion, and creating environments that people connect with. EP 6 of the build series
and just like that, our first major renovation issue hits đŸ«  Things have been running pretty smoothly up until now
but this bump in the road? It gave me whiplash. The kind that keeps you up at night, has you second guessing everything, and fast-tracks a few extra greys 😅 Safe to say
this wasn’t on the vision board. There’s been a few tears and a few sleepless nights
but we regroup, find a way through, and keep moving forward. Because the hard moments are part of building something truly special đŸ€ Also
renovations are basically like childbirth, you forget the messy, painful bits quickly and somehow fine yourself doing it all over again 😅 But all jokes aside, my builder and his team have been so amazing to get this moving again! by @_nectaar
