Dear Baby “NICOLA”, ❤️

I hope you’re smiling as you look at us today, because WE’VE MADE IT!

Oftentimes, we don’t give ourselves enough credit or grace for just how far we’ve come.
We’ve made it!

We’ve made it beyond the walls of Denham Town. Not just us, but our entire family.

We’ve made history by becoming the first in our family to graduate from college.

We’ve made it into rooms that many would only dream of entering.

We’ve made it to a place where we lead a team whose work impacts the lives of so many.

We’ve made it because we overcame our stage fright and found the courage to walk onto countless stages, speaking confidently to hundreds of people.

We’ve made it because we now have the car and the space we once dreamed of.

We’ve made it because we’ve built genuine friendships with people who truly love and value us.

We’ve made it because our faith in the Lord never wavered, even in the face of life’s greatest challenges.

We’ve made it because, even after losing two of our biggest supporters, we found the strength to keep showing up with holes in our hearts.

We’ve made it because, no matter how cold the world became, you never lost your kindness.

We did what we said we would!

And if none of those accomplishments were enough, we’ve made it simply because we never gave up. We never stopped believing in ourselves.

Now, little girl, we’re not finished yet.

We don’t always get it right. There is still so much to learn, so much to experience, so many places to see, and so many dreams waiting to become reality.

But today, I’m giving us permission to stop.
To look back.
To acknowledge how far we’ve come.
To celebrate the battles we’ve fought, the obstacles we’ve overcome, and the woman we’ve become.

I’m giving us permission to dream new dreams, discover new passions, and pursue them fearlessly.
Because everything we need to become who we’re destined to be has always been within us.

And if there’s one thing I want you to know, little Nicola, it’s that you were always enough, and every dream you dared to dream was worth believing in.

Yesterday we had the privilege of pouring into this years contestants of Mr & Miss Mico @themicoguild, guiding them on how to walk like royalty with confidence, intention and grace.

Week One of training for the Mico Pageant was all about communication, confidence, and connection ✨

We focused on sharpening articulation, strengthening stage presence, and mastering the power of clear, impactful messaging. Through engaging and interactive activities, the delegates stepped outside their comfort zones — practicing impromptu speaking, active listening, storytelling, and expressive delivery.

Communication isn’t just about speaking, it’s about influence, authenticity, and how effectively you connect with your audience. 💬🎤
Strong voices. Confident minds. Purposeful presence.

As 2026 approaches, I reflect with a grateful and happy heart 🤍
This year brought so many firsts and quiet milestones I achieved without even noticing — simply because I was enjoying the journey.

I stepped out of my comfort zone, grew more confident in my own skin, explored my beautiful island and international waters, made new connections, supported greatness, laughed often, smiled freely, and most importantly, invested in me.

One of the greatest lessons I learned this year: everything you need to live the life you’re purposed for is already within you. Be confident. Be bold. Try anyway.

Life is a continuous lesson.
All praises be to the Lord for a beautiful year — and we place all of 2026 in His hands 🙏🏽✨

Today marks one month since Hurricane Melissa impacted our island and our homes. From the very moment it passed, I felt called to serve. Since then, I’ve joined several groups travelling to the western end of the island, all with one mission; to help build back Jamaica stronger.

Over the past month, I’ve assisted in preparing more than 300 care packages, supported initial field assessments, distributed supplies to families in need, and even helped to repair a roof or two.

Now, a month later, the trees are beginning to turn green again — a reminder that with time, unity, and each of us doing our part, Jamaica will rise stronger than before.

And as we continue to rebuild, let this be our charge: let us not ease up now. Our people still need us. Let us keep showing up with love, support, and compassion because together, we can restore not just homes, but hope. taken in Jamaica: Land We Love by @_nicki876

To love and be loved. To appreciate and be appreciated. To care and be cared for.
That was the tagline for my 26th birthday and oh, what a night it was!

I walked into a beautifully orchestrated evening created just for me, and it healed a part of me I didn’t even know was broken. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible people in my life. 💖

This experience reminded me that when you love, care, support, show up, or send a kind word — without expecting anything in return — it never goes unnoticed. The heavens has a way of refunding that love in abundance, right when you least expect it. ✨

If there’s one thing you take away from this post, let it be this: be kind, no matter the situation and without expectation; because goodness always finds its way back to you.

I’m definitely still basking in all the love, appreciation, and care I received on my birthday. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who made my day, and the beginning of this new chapter — so special.

One of the hardest lessons to learn is discipline,
telling yourself “no” for the sake of a greater “yes,”
staying the course when your body and soul feel tired, and pushing through when it would be easier to stop.

But hey, it’s Friday 🌟🎺🎺
We’ve made it to the end of another week of showing up, sticking to the plan, and practicing discipline, even if we stumbled along the way. 🫂🙏

So this evening, pause. Celebrate the small wins. They are proof that you’re still moving forward.
