POSTS STORIES REELS

Last April, Lucy and I linked together 6 ski lines in the Pioneers, inspired by the whimsical descriptions written by Andy Henning in the Sun Valley Ski Guide, published in 1948. While walking around in the mountains for 5 days, we imagined what it must have been like to be one of the early explorers, shredding those glittering snow fields in leather boots and wool tops. To top it all off, we were graced with magical spring conditions that included both powder and corn!

We were lucky enough to be joined by @rayjgadd and @adamewirth who took many incredibly beautiful photos and we’ll be sharing some prints of these photos during a gallery showing at the Limelight Hotel next week on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

There will also be a handful of landscape prints for sale in benefit of @sawtoothavy. Join us! by @_nicolejorgenson

The countdown is on.. 29 DAYS until @sunvalley’s opening day! The lifts will be spinning before we know it, and we want those legs READY.

Ski season is about more than getting your gear dialed. It’s about building the strength, stability, and control to charge harder and help reduce your risk of injury when you hit the mountain. We’re putting in the work now so we can spend more days doing what we love all winter long. Who’s ready?!

GIVE THIS SKI PREP WORKOUT A GO:

3 ROUNDS:

• 8 split squats per side → hold your final rep isometrically until failure
• 12 single-leg rainbow med ball slams
• 12 Bosu boat hold + press

Save this one for your next strength day and tag your ski crew. Let’s get after it!

A magical summer bloom in one of my favorite places 💜

Shot on 35mm by @_nicolejorgenson

Did a few hard things this summer. While I didn’t win and my training wasn’t always ideal with a nursing schedule, I truly enjoyed the process for maybe the first time ever. And I went into each race with personal goals that I was able to implement. And that feels good. I don’t know why I keep getting called to do these things, but I have a body that I’m grateful for, and plan to keep seeing what it can do ❤️

Big thanks for those who’ve supported along that way @bauerhausbikes @hyperthreads @wild_rye_ @thefeed 🙏

Sometimes you just have to say yes and figure it out later. Grateful for all my skilled and dialed friends who let me be a floater on my first Middle Fork experience. I am lucky to know and love you all!!

This past winter my friend Jackson reached out to let me know he was starting a print journal, meant to capture the intersection between art and mountain athletics. I ended up submitting some words and photos. It’s a honor to see my work in print in the @mountainathletejournal 🫶 I wrote a little more about what it means to me on substack. by @_nicolejorgenson

Mostly searching for wildflowers and water 💛 by @_nicolejorgenson

Never did I ever think I’d love cold water so much. I’ve been consistently cold plunging for about a year and a half since @zenergy_sunvalley got their cold plunge and it’s been pretty cool to see the benefits.

I can feel the instant activation of my parasympathetic nervous system and @ouraring detects a measurable decrease in my respiratory rate when I plunge. It’s my fave before a 12 hour shift or (counterintuitively) after a day of skiing. 🙏
