We're content to share with you the evolution of the Cjossul contact microphone and hydrophone!

It was our initial intention to use mostly organic materials and after a long research we finally found them. From outside the V2 may seem similar to the V1, but we designed the case entirely from scratch, making it more strong, resistant and sustainable.

What do you think of these improvements? 😊

Hello dear friends,

We've been quiet for a while, taking time to reflect on the next steps for the project.

It all started with a personal question: how can we listen in a non-anthropocentric way? The Cjossul microphone became a way — and a tool — to explore that question.

After four years and approximately 1,000 hand-built microphones, Andrea and I have decided to put the Cjossul production on hiatus.

Before pausing this chapter, I wanted to leave something behind that will continue to grow, so I created the Organic Audio Forest: 60 trees that, over their life cycle, are expected to absorb 12,265 kg of CO₂. The number was chosen based on a simplified estimate of the project's footprint over the years.

For me, it's a way of giving something back after these years of materials, shipments, experiments, mistakes, and collaborations.

I've added the link to the Organic Audio Forest in bio for anyone who would like to contribute and help it grow with us.

Thank you to everyone who helped us create the Cjossul, chose one of our microphones, believed in our mission, wrote to us, listened, recorded, played, and supported the project!

Organic Audio Tools is going on hiatus. We'll see what happens after the summer.

We wish everyone a happy otium 🌱 by @_organic_audio_

🪴 Caring for a bonsai is an art that develops the virtue of patience. Capturing the way the plant breathes and nourishes itself through the roots is something that excites me and shows me how much harmony is present in simplicity

🎤 To capture the sounds I simultaneously used a ground contact microphone by @_organic_audio_ , two clippy microphones for a stereo recording by and a clamp contact microphone on the branches by @korgofficial
