Yahvi Duggal is an Indian textile artist based in London and founder of Peel Studio @_peelstudio . Rooted in the everyday practices of repair, reuse and resourcefulness she grew up around in India, her practice has evolved into an exploration of craft and material innovation. She transforms kitchen waste, deadstock yarns and natural fibres into biomaterials, natural dyes and handwoven textiles.

Woven in Season
A frame loom weaving workshop as a part of Woven Narratives at @thesloaneclub

The sun was out, spring flowers set the colour palette for the day. The rest just fell into place at the loom.

And no one really wanted to leave which made my day brighter! taken in The Sloane Club by @_peelstudio

Neev has found its home 🤍

There’s something so special about seeing a piece you’ve spent hours weaving become part of someone else’s everyday space.

One loom. Many hands. One shared weave. 🌿

For the Autumn Equinox, along with @waywardplants we invited everyone to add a little something to our communal loom using surplus yarns, studio leftovers and elements from the garden.

Different hands, different marks, slowly becoming one collective textile. 🤎

A little glimpse from Design Intelligentsia at London Design Festival ✨

Such a special few days showing with @raw_collaborative at @l_d_f_official and @shoreditchdesignweek , alongside makers and material innovators from India and its global diaspora.

Loved seeing this piece come alive in the space and sharing the stories, materials and processes behind it with so many of you 🤍

This piece came together using beautiful yarns from Yarn Atelier, alongside reclaimed fibres and natural dyes and materials made from kitchen waste.

Shunya: 60 Hours in Stillness

Inspired by the concept of Shunya, a state of absolute stillness.
Not emptiness, but a space where invisible energies begin to stir.

This Handwoven piece holds that quiet tension.
Energies that seem non-existent to the eye but are slowly taking birth, preparing to emerge and give rise to something new.

Created using Reclaimed Cashmere, Banana Fibre, ground Coffee waste and eggshells

Edition 001: Fragments

The Atrium at Hypha Gallery South Bank, 42 Southwark Bridge Road, London SE1 9EU

26 June – 26 July 2026, Thursday - Sunday 12-6 PM

The selection of work for the first ever edition of The Atrium is particularly interested in examining fragments, as part of a larger whole, necessitating close attention & care.

Artworks - as fragments of an incredibly dense, complex, and rich cultural ecosystem - do not sit idle. They refuse unanimity. The artists’ subjectivities leave traces; their marks and thoughts like roots, branching into communities, propositions, pleasantries, and hardships.

Each fragment, every glimpse and every trace of these artists’ lives informs the larger image of the exhibition theory. A theory based on mutually assured support. We too, like fragments of a larger puzzle, like the hyphae as part of a larger living network, work in partnership with our artists and the conditions of our locality. And in our microcosm, we found a support system of immeasurable value.

Tanaav meaning tension in Hindi explores the pull between resistance and release, stillness and becoming.

In this body of handwoven work, tension is not a flaw to fix but the space where transformation begins.

This reel is a walk through of the @dazed Magazine x @masonfifth residency exhibition, where reclaimed wool, banana fibre, and biomaterials made from kitchen waste of @canal.canal.canal - corn husks, coffee grounds, onion skins, and more — came together on the loom.

Each piece begins in Shunya, forms at the first Bindu, and holds itself in the quiet spaces of Antaral, the intervals between threads.

If my work sparks a curiosity — feel free to DM me ☺️
