An extension of PYDANCE’s award-winning Murder of Crows series, Murder of Crows: Ghost Stories blends contemporary dance, physical theater, and immersive storytelling into a haunting theatrical experience. Audience members will journey through the theater alongside a group of restless ghosts searching for answers about how they died and why they remain trapped within its walls.

Unlike a traditional stage production, Murder of Crows: Ghost Stories places audiences at the center of the mystery, allowing them to roam around the theater halls, unfolding the narrative from within the haunted space itself. As clues emerge and forgotten memories resurface, each performance offers an intimate exploration of loss, memory, and the stories that refuse to disappear.

Featuring three vibrant new dances by @becca_hoback, @efmorrison, and @_pydance_, OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR brings together three of Nashville’s most fearless choreographers to explore personal identity and both inward and outward reflections.

Emma Morrison’s solo “This Is a Good and a Bad Dance” unraveling the effects of time on the body and the contradiction of feeling both too old and too young at the same time.

Becca Hoback’s riveting, transformative latest solo work “Rapt” features an original rhythmic electronic score by Ignacio Nieto Carvajal and an operatic aria sung by local vocalist Sangeetha Ekambaram.

Asia Pyron (@itsasia) and her PYDANCE crew with close the evening with a high-energy finale “EGO” – a fresh, comedic collaboration with music by popular local punk band @snooper_7 with puppet design by lead singer @blairtramel.

Throughout the evening, all three artists wrestle with the exhaustive journey towards success undertaken by experimental artists, tackling themes of ambition, delusion, self-belief, and the immense labor it takes to make it all possible.
