As a part of my visibility challenge, I'll be sharing Dua that'll be useful to everyone of us every Friday.

*Transliteration:*
Allahumma Anta Rabbi, La ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abou'u laka bini'matika alayya, wa abou'u laka bidhanbi faghfirli, fa innahu la yaghfiru dhunuba illa Anta.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said whoever says it with certainty in the morning and dies that day will be among the people of Paradise, and whoever says it in the evening and dies that night will be among the people of Paradise.[Bukhari]

Jumma'at Mubarak ♥️🎉

Quick tip to memorize it: Read it 3 times after Fajr and 3 times after Asr/Maghrib. Within a week inshaAllah it will stick.

Soooo, I decided to make today's post about Qaweeyat. I was supposed to have done this a longgg time ago.

As the volunteer coordinator for LinkedIn Local Lafia, there were people I worked with on the team that truly left an unerasable impact, one of them was Qaweeyat.

She is a problem solver and the kind of person who doesn't need to be told ten times before she gets things done. She is really proactive and goes all out to see things work.

Working with her at LLL was a reminder that the right people don't just fill positions; they bring value, initiative, and a willingness to make things work.

Honestly, she is exceptional... it's better experienced than told.

If she tells you she is a lot of things, trust me, she really is!

I'm rooting for you always, Qaweeyat. ❤️ by @_qaweeyahhh_

LET'S TALK ABOUT BREAST CANCER. 🎀💗

Sometimes, making a difference starts with a simple conversation.

This October, I'm using my little space to spread awareness about breast cancer and remind us all to take our health seriously.

Pay attention to your body.
Don't ignore unusual changes.
Seek medical advice when something doesn't feel right.

And let's remember those fighting breast cancer, survivors, and families affected by it. They deserve our love, compassion, and support. 🫂💗

You never know who might need this reminder, so share this post with someone you care about. 🎀

Awareness matters. Your health matters. YOU matter. 💕

DAY 9/30 : YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL FIGURED OUT. 💚

Sometimes, we're so busy trying to build a good life that we forget to take care of ourselves along the way.

We're chasing goals, trying to make people proud, figuring out our careers, and hoping everything works out.

But honestly, it can get overwhelming sometimes. 🥹

So, here's your reminder to slow down, take a breath, and give yourself some grace.

You don't have to be strong all the time. You don't have to have all the answers. And you don't have to go through everything alone.

Check on yourself. Check on your people. And remember that you matter beyond everything you're trying to achieve. 💚🫂

Happy World Mental Health Day!

Over time, I’ve realized that a title can give you a position, but it doesn’t automatically make you a leader.
Some of my biggest leadership lessons have actually come from working with people, taking responsibility, listening, making mistakes and learning along the way.
I’m still learning what leadership means to me, but one thing I know for sure:
Leadership has a lot to do with people.
Day 8/30. 🤍

DAY 7/30✨ :WHAT I’M CURRENTLY WORKING ON.

One thing I’m learning is that growth doesn’t always look like doing something big.

Sometimes, it’s working quietly on yourself.

Right now, I’m working on my confidence, my career, my business, my relationships and, honestly, my consistency.

Some days I feel like I’m making progress. Other days, I feel like I’m still trying to figure things out. 😂

But I’m learning to be okay with that.

I don’t have everything figured out yet, and I don’t think I need to.

I just want to keep learning, keep showing up and keep becoming better.

And that’s what this season looks like for me. 🤍

Day 7/30 — Week 1 complete! 🎉

On to the next one.

DAY 6/30 : A SIDE OF ME PEOPLE DON’T USUALLY SEE😂😂

You probably know the Qaweeyah who volunteers, speaks in public, takes on responsibilities and is always trying to get things done.

But there’s also the Qaweeyah who loves a good laugh. 😂

The one who can spend way too much time choosing what to wear.

The one who enjoys good conversations and can gist for Africa when I’m comfortable with you. 😂

The one who enjoys watching cartoons 😂😂

The one who has a soft spot for beautiful fabrics and can get genuinely excited about colours, patterns and textures

The one who enjoys those simple moments that don't need to be productive or impressive.

I think sometimes people meet us through our achievements and forget that there’s a whole personality behind them.

So, this is your reminder:

I’m not always in “serious mode.” 😂

There’s a playful, chatty, creative and very ordinary side of me too.

And honestly, I like that side of me. 🤍

I was just about to skip today but I felt I wouldn't be nice of me to do that, since I am trying to be consistent.

Day 5 : Things that matters most to me

The things that matter to us often say more about who we are than our titles ever could. 🤍
Here are five things that matter to me. What are yours?”

PS: Since I was late, I ran to AI to cook something for me, but I guess it got burnt 😂😂😂❤️

DAY 4/30 : BEYOND MY CERTIFICATE.

Getting my degree was a big achievement for me, but I’ve come to realize that a certificate can only tell part of your story.

A certificate can tell people what you studied.

It doesn't necessarily tell them how well you work with people.

It doesn't tell them about the times you had to speak in front of people even when you were nervous.

It doesn't tell them about the projects you volunteered for, the responsibilities you took on, or the people you met along the way.

It doesn't tell them about the lessons that came from getting things wrong and trying again.

For me, some of my biggest lessons have happened outside the lecture halls.

Through volunteering, I’ve learned about service and teamwork.

Through leadership, I’ve learned that working with people isn't always easy, but it is always an opportunity to learn. I've also learned that you don't have to hold public offices to make impacts.

Through public speaking, I’ve learned to become more confident in expressing myself.

Through different projects and experiences, I’ve learned how important communication, consistency and showing up can be.

And I'm still learning.

My degree is part of my story, but it isn't the whole story.

There’s a lot more to me than what is written on my certificate. 🤍

DAY 3/30 ✨ : I’M MORE THAN ONE THING.

Sometimes, when people meet you, they immediately try to put you in a box.

“Political Science graduate.”

“Volunteer.”

“Leader.”

“Public speaker.”

“Business owner.”

And while all of these are true, none of them tells the full story.

I’m more than one thing.

I’m someone who enjoys working with people.

I’m someone who enjoys public speaking and expressing my thoughts, even though I’m still working on becoming more confident and better at it.

I’m someone who loves learning new things, even when I’m not sure where they’ll lead me.

I’m someone who enjoys being part of projects that bring people together and create some kind of impact.

I’m a volunteer.

I’m a business owner.

I’m interested in leadership and community development.

I’m also someone who is still figuring life out, trying things, making mistakes, changing my mind sometimes, and learning along the way. 😂

And I think that’s something we sometimes forget about ourselves.

We don't have to be just one thing.

We can have different interests.

We can explore different paths.

We can wear different hats.

We can grow into new versions of ourselves.

So, if I had to describe myself in one sentence, I’d probably say:

I’m a work in progress, with many sides still waiting to be discovered. 🤍

And honestly, I’m excited to discover them.

DAY 2/30 — WHO IS QAWEEYAT SULEIMAN ALEBIOSU

So, who exactly am I?

I’m a Political Science graduate, a volunteer, a lover of leadership, public speaking and community development, and someone who genuinely enjoys working with people.

I’ve found myself in different spaces over the years, student leadership, volunteering, community projects, public speaking opportunities, learning opportunities, and now navigating life after university.

I’m also an entrepreneur. I run Qaweeyah’s Fabrics, where I get to explore another side of myself through fabrics, creativity and business.

But beyond all these titles, I’d say I’m simply someone who is still learning and figuring things out.

I’m learning how to communicate better.
I’m learning how to speak with more confidence.
I’m learning how to lead better.
I’m learning how to put myself out there.
I’m learning how to turn my interests into something meaningful.

And I definitely don't have everything figured out yet. 😂

I’m just taking things one step at a time, meeting people, trying new things, making mistakes, learning from them and growing.

So, that's a little bit about me.

Now that you know who I am, let's see what the next 28 days have in store. 🤭

DAY 1/30 ✨ : I'M CHOOSING TO BE VISIBLE.

For a long time, I’ve been comfortable doing things behind the scenes.
Volunteering, taking up leadership roles, learning, showing up for different projects, building my skills… but I haven’t always been intentional about sharing the journey.

And honestly, I think it’s time to change that.

So, for the next 30 days, I’m challenging myself to show up, share more, learn in public, and let people see the person behind the experiences and certificates.
I’ll be sharing parts of my journey, leadership, volunteering, career growth, lessons I’ve learned, things I’m still figuring out, my business, and probably a few random things about me too. 😂

This isn't about trying to look perfect.
It’s simply about being seen, being intentional, and growing along the way.

So, here’s to 30 days of showing up. 🥂
