On Wednesday, October 7 (from 7–8:30 PM ET), come have a listen to the free online panel discussion I’ll be moderating, “Going Public: Creating Art for Shared Spaces,” a professional development workshop for artists from the Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR).

We’ll explore what it means to make art for shared spaces and look at the practical and ethical dimensions of public art—how funding shapes a project’s scope and politics, what it means to collaborate with local institutions, where artists find opportunities, and what to know before starting a public art project of your own.

Joining me:
Mark Attebery (Rockland County Art in Public Places)
Stephen Duncombe (Center for Artistic Activism)
Alice Mizrachi
Stephen Pierson (Art Bridge)
Margaret Inga Urías

Free and open to anyone working in or curious about public art.

Register via link in bio.

9/23 READING: The World in One Borough
Join us at @theworldsboroughbookshop on 9/23 at 7 PM to hear QUEENSBOUND poets sharing an exquisite corpse poem on the theme of “Resonance.” Each poet has written a 7-line poem (in honor of the 7 train) using only the last line of the previous poet as inspiration. We will reveal and read the whole poem at the event, as well as discuss QUEENSBOUND, the literary community in Queens, and how you can join us! Featuring QUEENSBOUND poets: @aminad1a @pichchendabao @m_a_dennis575 , @afutureancient @jaredharel @olivewitch @anandalima @marigoldtief Sahar Romani, and @kctrommer

Hello from Jackson Heights, and happy best-summer-in-ages, friends!

Thank you to everyone who joined our 2026 #NationalPoetryMonth collab with @wnyc! If you missed them, a few of WNYC’s favorite moments are linked in our bio.

What’s next for QB:
→ An app in the works (!!!)
→ A September reading with QB contributors at @theworldsboroughbookshop, organized by the wonderful @olivewitch

QUEENSBOUND has been a labor of love since 2018. Sign up for our newsletter or chip in a donation of any amount (every bit goes to hosting, app development, and honoraria for future contributors)—both links in bio.

Stay cool and go Queens!
