"Civic Bloom"

My latest mural for @builtbylotus and the new Lotus Republic Apartments.

This piece explores the roots of the world's first republics. It's inspired by the Greeks, Romans, Iroquois, and French. It's a representation of how their legacy continues to shape civic life today.

One of my most challenging murals yet(with no help from the 90+ degree heat), but also my new personal favorite. I improved my techniques and tightened up myworkflow, definitely pushing my abilities to a new level.

Excited to share more symbolism and process shots in future posts.

Let me know what section is your favorite! 🧐 taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @_roadfish_

Here are a few close-ups and final shots of my project at Sycamore Magnet Academy in Tustin, CA. The mural's theme is centered around global culture and the performing arts, as requested by the school.

Big thanks to my dudes at @influentialwalls for making this happen, always a pleasure.

Felt good to represent Ogden out in CA. Hoping for more projects like this outside of Utah. Always stoked to spread the work.

Drop your thoughts below, I’m curious what stands out to you! 🤔 taken in Tustin, California by @_roadfish_

HISTORIC PROJECT COMPLETED ✅ 🎨
✨Good to meet and follow @_roadfish_ on his journey in creating this historic mural in Salt Lake City’s Japantown.
✨ This massive piece of work honors and celebrates Japanese Americans who helped to shape the cultural landscape and history of Utah 💯

This summer project experienced several delays but through it all, Cole stayed focused and determined to deliver his best work….and to dream bigger!

“It’s been a long time coming….” he said.

I’m confident many who see this in person will say, the final product was worth the wait. 💫

Japantown is getting a new mural ✨

Pre-Qualified Pool Artist Cole Eisenhour (@_roadfish_) has been selected to create a community-informed mural for Japantown Street honoring the history, resilience, and future of Salt Lake City’s Japanese American community.

The mural will be installed later this summer on the north-facing wall of the Multi-Ethnic Senior Highrise (MESH), overlooking 100 South.

Eisenhour presented his vision for the new mural at the 2026 Nihon Matsuri Festival.

The long game pays off.

Last week I spoke at UVU’s art lecture series. The same place where I studied Art & Visual Communications and decided to bet on myself as an artist.

I shared the real timeline. Post-grad uncertainty. Teaching myself to paint. Chasing murals. Breaking into public art. Slowly building a career here in Utah.

Getting to talk with students who are at the very beginning of that process was a privilege.

Huge thanks to @cyoungart and the @uvuarts
UVU art department for the invite/opportunity. Pretty wild to be back where I started.

Thanks to my awesome girl @nicki_pix for the photos!❤️ taken in Utah Valley University by @_roadfish_

The secrets to growing your mural business typically lie in one of three issues: your pricing, your marketing, or your IP. Cole and I talked about all 3 of these issues during this project for Vista Charter in LA. Here’s the breakdown of each issue one by one.

1. Your Pricing:
Your prices are too low most likely because one of the two issues. First one being your lead quality is weak. That means your buyers are cheap and whatever marketing system you use is feeding you more cheapo’s. This is why I like finding emails using Apollo IO to reach out to qualified buyers at larger companies (more on that at end of caption). The second issue in your prices could lie in your sales process. You should always be presenting 3 prices live on a call in a professional proposal explaining what problems your mural solves and how clients will get a return on what they spend with you.

2. Your Marketing
If you digest my content regularly, you always hear me talking about systems for marketing. Not relying on word of mouth or referrals because those are not predictable. Not dealing with calls for artists that ask for free design work. The secret sauce is in your outreach. We have a full 15+ page guide on how we handle our outreach that keeps us booked and selling $300K+ in murals annually. See end of caption.

3. Your IP
IP is intellectual property. And it refers to creating a recognizable style that makes your brand more unique. To build IP you should lock in on some palettes, patterns, characters, and/or symbols you use consistently. The more consistent you use these, the more your visual brand will stick. Ideally don’t just have one character or palette, develop multiple characters, symbols, or patterns so you can use them when certain clients don’t like part of your IP.

This year we have revamped our guides about 2-3x on marketing yourself as a muralist and pricing your work. If you want the full walkthrough comment “guides” and we’ll send you a link to snag em for free. Time to level up fam ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 by @_roadfish_

"Legacy in Motion"

50'x18' Acrylic on brick

This mural was created for the Seager Memorial Clinic to celebrate health, care, and connection in Ogden's community.

Grateful to work with the @ogdencitymayor, @loriebuckley, and @seagerclinic to make this mural come to fruition. This concept was fun to design and arrange, super satisfied with the finished product!
