It’s October and Traitors is back, so it’s properly autumn time, meaning roast dinners have that extra comforting feel to them 🍂🙂‍↔️

This roast beef dinner was just cooked to perfection, with everything homemade including the gravy, served on giant Yorkshire pudding, and that beautifully pinkish beef roasted in the air fryer! 🔥

Friday Night of National Curry Week, what else am I going to post on a Friday night other than the best mixed grill I’ve ever had! 🤩

I am OBSESSED with Indian Food, but freshly sizzling mixed grills are another level 😍

@thecoveredwagon had been on my list for so long, but they were beyond worth the wait, this was seriously the best mixed grill I’ve ever had!!!

⭐️ Taste - 9.5/10 - everything about this was amazing. The mixed grill was charred and crispy yet tender and moist. Special praise for chicken fillet (I think it might have been boneless thighs) because they had everything from moisture/tenderness to crispiness then packed with lots of flavour of spice and yet some creaminess. Fish pakora was also cooked brilliantly. The garlic cheese naan was fantastic with the flavour and way the cheese filled it. The lemon coriander masala fries were an amazing flavour explosion and fairly unique 🍋🤩
⭐️ Service - 7.5/10 - staff were very friendly and welcoming, there was a system error that delayed our food but it was dealt with very well and we were given a 20% discount because of it. They were also accommodating of our large 10 person group.
⭐️ Atmosphere - 8/10 - fairly busy and just a really nice vibe all round
⭐️ Value for money - 10/10 - ate plenty, and it lasted me 3 meals!!!
🌟 Overall - 8.75/10 🌟

National Curry Week Time! 🤩

I’m proudly half Indian, so just love love cooking Indian food! The fact Chloe isn’t a fan of Indian food, I’m even more grateful for when I have it hahaha.

The two curries were homemade from the Rick Stein cookbook, a Vegan Chicken Pasanda and a simple Vegetable Curry, which were both brilliant! The rest was from Aldi and I mixed up some yoghurt and mint sauce for dip!

Been having the last of the summer heat that last couple of days, so here’s a throwback to a summer meal at the peak of the heatwave 🤌🏼

The @gennarocontaldo is becoming one my favourite cookbooks, everything is so so good.

This pasta salad is one that’s just perfect for the heatwaves and really brings out that Med feeling, not to mention helping you cool down. The fish and veg with the olive oil and herbs are just perfect for that summer feeling 👌🏼😍

Honestly, after finally buying @poppy_cooks’ Potato Cookbook, I’m really in my Baked Potato Era, literally cooking some now 😎🥔

Throwback to when I went to Preston in April, there was only one place I was ever going to eat at the WBA game! @therealspudbros have a van outside Deepdale, so it was perfect.

Spud Bros certainly didn’t disappoint and I was well pleased with my combo - Garlic Butter, Cheese, Garlic Chilli Chicken, Coleslaw, and Crispy Onions. Honestly these guys live up to the hype and make the humble Baked Potato taste unreal! 🔥👌🏼

WBA play at Preston on 24/10, so I can’t wait to go back 🤩

⭐️ Taste - 8/10 - Jacket Potatoes at their best, enough said.
⭐️ Service - 8/10 - very nice friendly staff outside👌🏼
⭐️ Atmosphere - 8/10 - football ground and good people with nice weather, it was lovely!
⭐️ Value for money 8/10 - a lot of filling and great tasting food, so the price was worth it.
🌟 Overall - 8/10 🌟

Monday Dinner, one of those nights where I only had a bit in, so just knocked together this beauty! 😍🇪🇸

Chicken, Chorizo, Cheese, Peas, Spinach, Onions and ofc Oil and Butter with Herbs, Paprika, and Salt + Pepper. With the Chicken marinated in garlic, lemon and Nandos sauce, and all of the other ingredients, this was an incredibly filling flavour bomb that was more than enough for a Monday night! 🤩

Saturday Night, so I present a twist on Fish and Chips with with a twist 🍣🍟. One of those evenings where you haven’t got much in, but created a banging meal! 🔥

This is Accidental Posh Fish and Chips! I marinated the Salmon in Lemon and herb, and then cooked its sides soft, but skin nice and crispy 😍. For our sausage, I fried a little chorizo to perfectly complement the salmon. The chips I parboiled, marinated in garlic and Greek seasoning, and did on max crisp in my @ninjauk airfryer. The tomato sauce is from a batch made pot I kept in the freezer, but you can bet it’s all rich, creamy/buttery, and tomatoey 🤤. I would have done mushy peas, but I wanted some more ingredients and Chloe isn’t a fan anyways, so would have been a bit effort to do with everything else. Perfect meal for any time of the week 🤩

What’s a meal you quickly put together, but tasted amazing? 🙌🏼

With cosy season ever so slowly starting to appear, @thespicylibrarianuk is an incredible place to be! 🍂🌶️📚

Next year I’m planning on moving to Leamington Spa because @csutcliffebooks wants to live in a town and honestly there isn’t much better in the West Midlands.

Now after we decided to move there my bookstagrammer girlfriend had a dream come true when @thespicylibrarianuk announced they were going to be opening up 👏🏼

I’ll admit, Chloe has got me reading the fantasy she reads (smut, which was very eye opening 😳🤣), but with lovely cake + great cocktails, I think I will be checking The Spicy Librarian out more too 👌🏼

I love September, but as far as I am concerned it’s still summer (at least the first half is) 😎

That being said, this little beauty of Pasta and Meatballs, is one I made to enjoy in summer on the balcony, but is perfect all year round. I did something different to normal and tried @gennarocontaldo’s tomato sauce, and I was very impressed. Blending your own tomatoes and not bothering with puree or pasata does work really well, then with fresh basil leaves, garlic, salt, pepper and plenty of olive oil leads to an absolutely fantastic meal and plenty of batch freezing for other meals too!

The meatballs are IKEA’s and we all know how brilliant they are, leaving me very happy with this absolute beauty of a meal!

Here’s a meal that is just perfect for summer ☀️

Plate full of colour and flavours that just work perfect to eat outside in the summer with a glass of white wine, cheers to that 🥂

I breaded the chicken myself with herbs, garlic, and spiced in both the breadcrumbs and flour. I am getting better and better at it. I fancied some quick fries so picked some limited edition garlic ones from Aldi, then seasoned a small salad for the side! 💚

Enough said, this was simply lovely!

Pub Roasts! Something I am skeptical of due to mine always outperforming different pubs and restaurants, mainly cos of the Roast Potatoes, but this one was very very good and I would have it again 🔥

My 2nd time at @thegoshawk, since my Boxing Day Birthday, and it certainly did not disappoint with this brilliant Roast Platter that came with Bottomless Gravy and Bottomless Yorkshire Puddings. The pub itself is so lovely and cosy and is becoming a favourite whenever I’m up in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Not to mention, my first time trying (and even hearing about) Manchester Tart, which I actually really liked. Sure Andy Burnham would be proud 😂

⭐️ Taste - 8/10 - Everything tasted really lovely and I was actually pleased with the roast potatoes 👌🏼
⭐️ Service - 9/10 - this was actually Easter Sunday, so it was busy, but the staff were so good with all food drinks and the bottomless gravy and Yorkshire pudding 👏🏼
⭐️ Atmosphere - 8/10 - beautiful country pub. The place was also fairly busy, which was great for atmosphere 🤩
⭐️ Value for money 8/10 - food was great, there was loads, so I left happy, impressed, and full up 😁.
🌟 Overall - 8.25/10 🌟 taken in The Goshawk by @_rohangry

I have definitely got better at breading chicken, and this Chicken Schnitzel tasted amazing, especially in this weather ☀️🩵😍

With an aioli and underrated lime it was absolutely gorgeous! A fantastic banger for the diet from @boredoflunch 👌🏼
