Why design one Scottie when you can design two? Artist @_romamccook is the creative behind Scotties ‘Worldie’ and ‘Scottiestoun’.

‘Worldie’ encapsulates the excitement that Scotland felt after qualifying for the FIFA World Cup, with his tickets firmly in his sporran and ‘Scottiestoun’’s rugby shirt is a nod towards Roma and her family’s love of rugby.

Thank you to our friends Kick ICT Group for sponsoring ‘Worldie’ and @themalcolmgroup for sponsoring ‘Scottiestoun’.

There’s still time to find both Scotties at Glasgow Central Station and Victoria park before the trail ends. To plan your adventure, while helping @maggiescentres to be there for people facing cancer today, tomorrow and always, pick up a Scotties in the City map for a suggested £2 donation at Born in Scotland in @buchanangalleries. by @_romamccook

He’s a Worldie! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

Catch my sculpture at Glasgow Central Station! He will be there in situ til mid August. Cheering on Scotland from afar!

Please take photos if you see him, tag & share!

Use the ‘Scottie’s in the City’ app to discover each unique Scottie, and see if you can collect them over the Summer in Glasgow. These dogs will go to auction in September and money raised will go to @maggiesglasgow @maggiescentres

Another big thank you to Kick ICT Group for sponsoring him!

Today, some of the wonderful gang from @maggiescentres took Jencks down to Birmingham for this year’s @crufts 🐾

While he was there, Jencks had the pleasure of meeting the lovely @clarebalding and, of course, saying hello to plenty of adorable dogs along the way! 🐶

I’m so thrilled that I was asked to paint Jencks for Maggie’s last year, and I absolutely love seeing all the places he pops up next.

Make sure to follow @maggiesscottiestrail for more Scottie adventures and updates!

Our penultimate (maybe we should have said penalty-ultimate 😆🙈) #scottiesinthecity @wildinart @maggiesscottiestrail hound is this rugby 🏉-loving cheeky chappy Scottiestoun by @_romamccook which was found in a very special place for us, Victoria Park in Scotstoun, Glasgow - just west of the West End! Scroll through to see some photos from the park.
.
The home of the @glasgowwarriors Rugby team is just round the corner from this park, and it played host to the athletics at this summer’s Commonwealth Games.
.
We love the description for this Scottie, powered by a mix of mischief and magic, and a whirlwind of energy.
.
You can see it was getting later in the day when we got these photos - wait until you see how dark it was by the time we reached our last Scottie, the most northernmost of them all!

Could you give one of my Scotties a forever home? 🐾

I’m absolutely delighted to share that two of the Scotties I painted for Maggie’s are now available to buy — and every bid helps raise vital funds for people living with cancer and their families.

🧡 Jencks
My smaller Scottie, Jencks, has been travelling all over Scotland helping to promote Maggie’s and the Scotties trail. He even got to meet Clare Balding at Crufts this year!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Worldie – The Tartan Army Scottie
Worldie was created as a celebration of Scotland, football and the incredible spirit of the Tartan Army. He’s complete with his kilt and even World Cup tickets tucked into his sporran! He was proudly displayed in Glasgow Central Station as part of Scotties in the City.

Both sculptures have a very special place in my heart. They were delivered to Aviemore for me to paint, and I’m incredibly grateful to Macdonald Aviemore Resort, for providing the space where I could bring them to life.

The auction takes place on 10 September, with online bidding open now: https://scottie.wildinartauctions.com/auctions/catalog/id/121/Scotties-in-the-City-Grand-Auction

If you, or someone you know, would love to own a completely unique piece of Scottish art while supporting an incredible charity, please get involved.

Please share this post! You never know who might be looking for a very special Scottie — and sharing could help Worldie or Jencks find their forever home while raising money for Maggie’s.

For serious bidders, please contact the Maggie’s team:📧 scotties@maggies.org

Thank you so much for supporting my work and, most importantly, Maggie’s. 🧡🐾

Last Saturday on our way to the Anime Con we spotted 3 more of the big Scotties from the @wildinart @maggiesscottiestrail 🐾
.
1. Worldie by @_romamccook - dressed for the World Cup in Central Station;
2. Wanderlust by Charlotte Cope, outside @scottish_citylink Buchanan Street Bus Station - how amazing are all the wee details and scenes of Scottishness on that one!?
3. Sir-Wags-A-Lot by @amys_pet_portraits at The Piping Centre.
.
As you can see, it was a bit rainy but that didn’t dampen our Scottie hunt.

This is the making of Scotstoun! 🩵🏉

Sitting proudly in Victoria Park, Glasgow, sponsored by @themalcolmgroup

The Malcolm Group are the logistics partner for the @maggiesscottiestrail and ensured safe delivery and positioning of our big Scotties! For that, we are very grateful!

Whether it’s diving for a last-second try, chasing down a runaway winger, or firing up the crowd at, he’s always ready to do ‘whatever it takes’ for his team.
