CARAVAN 924

For centuries, caravans crossed the Silk Road carrying textiles, craftsmanship, and stories from one civilization to another. They were more than a means of transport they were bridges between cultures.

Caravan 924 reimagines that legacy through a contemporary form.

Patterns inspired by traditional ikat and a roof stacked with rolls of fabric recall the silhouette of a traveling caravan, where every journey carried not only goods, but memory, identity, and exchange.

This work reflects on how cultures continue to move through time. The vehicles may change, but the journey remains the same.

The caravan never disappeared. It simply changed its form.

The project 924 Porsche is still going — yes, fully hand-built, on my own time. Recently, I completely redid the front and rear seats in a new style, closer to the vision I originally had. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest — full of character.

Next up are the door cards. And here’s where it gets tricky: I don’t have professional leatherworking tools, so I work with what I have. Call it garage philosophy — less glamour, more creativity and grit.

I decided to keep parts of the original leather from the seats — it’s not in its prime anymore, but that’s the beauty of it. The whole process feels more like restoration than customization: you’re not just creating something new — you’re having a conversation with the past.

Sometimes that means working on the floor, taking longer, putting in more effort — but every stitch is mine. Every screw, too.

The project isn’t done yet. But even now, it’s becoming the art piece I always imagined.
Not for sale.
For the process.
Tag a friend artist! I’d be happy to discuss.🤙🏽🙏🏼

Objects in Motion IV by @_rrronn

For its fourth iteration, Objects in Motion returns as an ever-evolving exploration of art, craftsmanship, and the spaces that surround them.

Each edition transforms an unexpected venue into an immersive world where light, sound, architecture, and storytelling become as much a part of the exhibition as the work itself.

This chapter brings together the work of Rodion, whose paintings explore memory, movement, and emotion, alongside the craftsmanship of RKT Motorsports, where decades of restoration are presented not simply as a finished automobile, but as a journey—from forgotten metal to something alive again.

Objects in Motion was never intended to live within the walls of a traditional gallery. It exists to blur the line between disciplines, inviting artists, builders, and makers to share the same stage and reminding us that beauty isn’t reserved for a canvas. Sometimes it’s found in steel, in light, in texture, and in the stories we choose to preserve.

Every edition is different. Every space becomes part of the work. by @_rrronn
