Oh hey!!! Just wanted to share a pic of ME on MY BIRTHDAY this week at @dundaspetvalu. This is my best shot ever, and I look sooo happy and relaxed. Maybe that happens when you turn 5!!! Anyhoo, I hope everyone has a great weekend and is able to find such happiness. My advice: life can get you down, and the smallest things can be so scary. I want you to know that we can overcome it all. I live by this example. I've come so far and get better each and every day!!! Paws up to my crew!!! 🧡🧡🧡 taken in Dundas, Ontario by @_rubycita

*Watch until the end to see some of our happy dogs receiving their blankets.*⁣
⁣
A few days ago, we asked for your help to sponsor some blankets for each of the dogs at the shelter. We were blown away seeing this amazing community come together yet again, this time to sponsor 200 blankets!⁣
⁣
Thanks to you all, our dogs will sleep a little warmer and more comfortably. ⁣
⁣
The extra funds that were raised over our goal will go towards having curtains made to keep the wind out of the dog houses.

Recently an anonymous previous adopter with @dibsrescue offered to match donations up to a total of $500.00. Thank you for your generous gift.

Thank you @eloracestie for sponsoring to feed a long term resident for one full year. Your donation has been matched and 2 residents will be sponsored.

@everybodyloves_carl @simone.d.1122 for your donations to each feed all the dogs for one full day, which will in turn feed the all the dogs for 4 full days.

Whether it is $5.00 which feeds one dog two meals for one week or $20.00 that feeds one dog for a month, every contribution matters and helps us to reach our one and only goal of #filltheirbowls

When meals was formed in 2019 the goal was to find one sponsor a day to feed the dogs. The cost to feed the dogs per day was $100.00 or over the full year $36,500.00. Since then the cost of food has increased, the amount of dogs in care has increased by approximately 50%, and due to health or behavioural issues the number of long term residents has increased. Our budget has gone from just under $40,000.00 to over $60,000.00. This is just to feed the dogs and does not include vet care, shelter costs, vaccines and other costs.

Thank you to all of our supporters, donors, sponsors and rescue partners.
