My cats loved the bookmark (they tried eating it) 😅🫶

This was such a blast, and the community energy was wonderful. I even got to chat with someone new who found the event simply by searching online for local crafty events!

Not only were all of the vendors incredibly creative, but it’s clear that each of them value sustainability. Whether it was making jewelry with reclaimed china or repurposing t-shirts into comfortable underwear, everyone had a unique way of supporting the environment 💚

If you haven’t already heard of ‘em, please check out the fabulous vendors who tabled at the event:

🎉 It’s almost time! Taste of the Sound returns this Thursday, Sept. 17, to Fishermen’s Terminal.

Come hungry and experience:

🍴 Tastings from 75+ local food and beverage makers
🍾 A bottle shop with spirits plus tax-free beer, wine, and cider to enjoy at home
👨‍🍳 Live chef demos and more!

What makes #TasteoftheSound different?

💫 Taste of the Sound exclusively highlights local producers: the farmers, fishers, ranchers, food makers, and others who grow, harvest, catch, raise, or make products here in Washington State. We don’t charge booth fees, and we provide vendor stipends to help offset the cost of participating, helping create more equitable access to markets.

🤝 Plus, before the event opens to the public, we will be hosting a wholesale buyer preview connecting vendors with buyers to create new market opportunities and strengthen Washington’s local food system.

When you buy local, you’re doing more than taking home something delicious—you’re investing in the people, businesses, and communities that make our local food economy thrive!

📅 Thursday, Sept. 17, 5-8pm

Congratulations to the winner of the @northwestsewn Shoddy Not Shoddy Design Challenge hosted at @weartranscend !

It was an honor to serve as a judge and see textile waste reimagined through creativity, innovation and thoughtful design.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to celebrate local designers, strengthen our sustainable fashion community and connect with new supporters who believe in a more circular and ethical future for fashion.

Congratulations to everyone who shared their creativity and brought their vision to life!
