Thank you, Jovie, for choosing me to be your mama.

This day has been so many things in the past.. painful, reflective, sometimes lonely.

But today, it is pure joy, quite jovial 😉

What a privilege to celebrate my first Mother’s Day as a mama!

This time 6 years ago, I was grieving the loss of baby boy Adonis…some pain never go away and some voids can never be filled 😔

Now I’m walking in the fulfilment of God’s promise and in the role l wasn’t sure I wanted to take on but am enjoying every second of it 💕

Seeing my wife waddle around the house is the most beautiful thing to me! She's amazing and a warrior, how she fights through the pregnancy ups and downs. But if I'm being honest, I never wanted another child. My first experience as a father, (23 years old) was very traumatic, so traumatic that I never wanted to experience that AGAIN, so having another was a big HELL NO! That’s why I didn’t have another one until I was 42 years old. The running back and forth to court, spending countless dollars (30k) on lawyers/courts, child support (1,200$)a month, etc., fighting for my son going through all that BS quietly. Then when I met Shareeka, everything changed. She brought me this sense of peace, which made me feel safe. I’m an over-thinker and she quiets those voices in the back of my head. That was major for me, cause I never met a woman who made me feel as such. I’m so grateful and blessed, that I didn’t allow my past traumatic experiences to dictate my future, God knew deep down I wanted another one, but I was too afraid to put myself in that position again! Fast forward today, I’m so excited about my baby girl, God knew I needed this little girl. Maybe she’ll calm down my aggression, that’s what I hear but I’m here for it! 2025 stretched me, refined me, and brought so much clarity!! A year filled with lots of prayer, tears, waiting, and learning how to trust God more than I ever have.

2026- looking forward to more Joy! And birthing my baby girl 💕💕

My personal New Year…….✨39✨

Last Year in my 30s💅🏾

These days l’m only at places and near people that flow and understand who I am TODAY!
I’ve been learning A LOT! Going to bed is my favorite part of the day. I’m becoming more and more detached from my phone. Haven’t spoken to a few people since I stopped reaching out first. I love and prefer the sun…..no shade.

More life, more love, more memories.

Me and this 🥷 really married 💙🤞🏾🔗

I’ve learned that I’m extremely emotionally independent and I’m trying to figure out if that’s good or bad. I really took a hobby and monetized it….never again! Seeing others GENUINELY happy, makes me happy.

I’m a risk taker and this year will be transformative

I know all of that is random…..

With every ending there’s a new beginning …I’ve always said that I’d come from behind the chair by the time I turned 40. But this time last year, I knew I wouldn’t make it that long 🥴. Doing hair no longer challenged me. I was beginning to feel like a robot. I loved my clients but no longer had a love for hair. But I had no idea what I would do as I’ve always saw myself as a hairstylist.

A year ago I sought out new hobbies because all I did was work and go home to watch tv. I begin skating and learning how to make candles. Both presented challenges for me and I loved it. When I would share that I was making candles, the response was the same from everyone, “I want to buy some.”

So I set a goal to start a candle line but only as something to do on the side. But God had other plans 🙏🏾🙏🏾
